O trust me next time i see Robert he better break out the truggy with the GO so i can see it rip. The gen 5(i think its called) a few friends have been running is crazy fast, efficient and doesn't drink alot of fuel. At rev on saturday the gen 5 was easily gettin 10min being ran as hard as possible. Im sure this thing can go around 12 in a truggy.

ya, sunday a buddy of mine was getting 11 minutes with the GX5R, i was getting close to 9 with the GXII but running rich with a 8mm restrictor. engine was barly broke fully in and was just being cautious. i got 10 minutes in the buggy which is awsome with a 125cc tank. but that was also with a 8mm restricter, again being cautious, that one barly broke in also, but after sunday im sure there both broke in and ready to do some restrictor and tuning changes, smoked a orion HV throttle servo (dont buy orion) in truggy after 2nd quilifier, called it a day for the truggy, took 3rd in buggy!

FYI I ran GXII in my truggy this past weekend. Finished 7th in expert truggy w/ a destroyed rear diff at the end of the 30 min main. Truggy finally died with 30 sec left on the clock. I was one of the only guys consistently clearing the front triple. Insane amount of power... I was also pitting at 9 mins with plenty of cushion.

hi guys,
just wanted to clarify... what would be an immediate indicator that i'm running too lean on the LSN? wanted to have a very good punch as we have a local track with jumps right after a turn, wanted to clear the jump but missing a bit of punch. Running a losi with 4 shoe clutch. Also... what would be a better clutch setup for a losi with a GXII? currently running 2 alum with green and 2 composite with black springs.
Thanks,

Now slowly, gently pull up to about 1/3 throttle so your buggy moves away just like you would a normal road car from the traffic lights. Slowly is the key.
Watch the exhaust stinger closely. If the buggy moves say 5 or 6 metres before you see any appreciable smoke out of the exhaust then you are a whisker lean on the bottom end.
What you want to see is nice even smoke from the stinger as soon as the buggy starts to move away, and continue right up as far as you pull the throttle on.
If on the other hand the buggy is flat out of the corners when the tank gets a little low - you are too lean on the TOP END. Richen the top 1 hour at a time until the boggy take off is remedied. This lean bog is accentuated by the longer needle carb used in these motors. It is of utmost importance that you run the HSN rich enough to get good bottom end performance right to the end of a tank. HSN no more than 2 - 3 hours in from flush is the norm. If you try to lean the top end too far for performance (like a short needle carbed motor) you will fall into this lean bog trap. What happens then is most people think the bottom end is lean, so they richen the LSN making the problem worse.
Hope this all makes sense. If not, read the tuning guide (Tech Tips section on our website) which will explain it in more depth. http://www.go-racing.co.nz

Run a tank through to warm it up. Top her up and then do a run, bring it in to a complete stop.
