Hey guys I got a question for ya,

I recently picked up a OS VZB Speed(old style). Has anyone here or heard of anyone rebuilding one of these with the new Arrow(5port) piston, sleeve, and rod? I am very curious to know the performance outcome in doing this.

Is it better to use the Arrow 5port sleeve or 3port sleeve?

Thanks

The 5 will have more power. The 3 should get better fuel mileage.

So With That Being Said Does That Mean The New 5 Port Does Not Get As Good Of Mileage ?

The new GTR-II Plus 5 port is getting the about same or better. Most likely because it has a LCG head, redesigned head button and DLC crank. I am not sure which gets more but the new engine definitely has more power.

Any Idea What That New Pipe Will Cost?

Also due to popular demand, Arrow Racing has brought the 3-port GTR-21 back for those who want a smoother engine with great fuel mileage. If you miss the power band and very high top end of the old short stroke OS V-Spec, check this engine out! Now only $174.99!

See Scott, The best thing to have in this hobby is a open-mind. You can be super competitive and not have to break the bank while doing so. But then there's guys that must have those $500 engines....I just chuckle and walk away...and still have beer money in my pocket

Your Arrow ran very good today. I think 260-265 degrees is the sweet spot. I know we can get 9 1/2min out of it on our track which is very good. I want to see how that Arrow pipe compares. Well cya next Saturday bro.
