Default Novarossi S21 P5XLT (2010 edition) ??????

Was wondering what you guys think of this particular engine? I know the older P5's were very popular but have been lately out shinned by the plus-4's and Toro Nero's. Plan on putting it in a HB D8T!

Now that it shares the same carb as the +4; I think it's a great engine all around.

Pair it with the 41021/2084 and have all the torque you want with plenty of mileage as well.

Driven properly it will get the same runtime as a +4, but have better bottom and mid.

This motor is great! In my truggy I can pit at 10 min on the worst of mileage tracks I have seen (one of them was Blue Diamond Raceway) with plenty of fuel to throw down a few more laps if I had to coupled with a 9901 and a medium header. I was impressed with how it drove in my buggy with a dynamite 086 but it was only getting 9min while my speed got a little more so I left the OS speed in. As far as power this thing has all you could ever want right there on tap.

Awesome, sounds good! i just bought one for 220 on ebay new. I plan on breaking it in and using it as a back up to my speed. i have an 086 pipe, as well as a 053 pipe. which do you think i should put with it to get the best performance and run time. Or is there a pipe thats like the best pipe for this engine hands down?

Been a while since I saw a P5 run but how's the top end? I remember them being V-Spec like linear power with slightly better bottom end.

Some pretty good deals out there on them right now.

Yeah I'm a racer that likes more bottom end out of my motors, so that's why I took a shot at the new p5! Plus with a 220 price tag it's a lot cheaper then the plus 4 and toro Nero. So we will see how it is once I get it!

How do you think the re-11 would do with the P5xlt?

The RE-11 is said to be a clone of the OS 2050! I bought it as a pipe for my speed!
