Has Clockworks had their hands on the OS xz-b V2 with the 22b carb yet? I reckon I'll want a clocked version of it!

A big shout out to Neal for making such awesome engines. I ran the clocked BTT WC yesterday and it puts all my other engines to shame. well besides the clocked p5 obviously. Those two engines are by far the best I have owned and I've had a few. They make my buggy fly. Literally.

Awesome to hear buddy !!! it amazing how nice the modified BTT engines run compared tot heir stock counterparts.... considering you were running a Hudy FX its awesome to hear the Clocked BTT is winning out....... what pipe and header set were you using ?

First race of the season today. Had a blast. After missing all of last year, I was ready.

Started off with a new motor I was going to let my boy use when he drives ( Alpha Dragon) Clutch was good, tires and set-up felt good but was running a little rich. Finished the first heat, made a couple adjustments but was still 2 laps off the pace.

Went out for the second heat, flamed out on warm up. Pit man couldn't get it started cuz the plug died. Put a new plug in it, fired right off, but now it was way lean. Adjusted in the middle, made it a little better, then clutch bearing gernaded:eek:

Fixed the clutch, got about 7 minutes of run time between heats and felt pretty good. Got out for the 3rd heat and was on a TQ pace, came off the big triple and all of a sudden it started running extreamly rich. finish qualing 4th in the B.

Fed up with the problems, I put my Clocked B5 with 2057 pipe in, which by the way has been sitting in a ziplock bag with dessicent for 16 months, and was amazed that if fired up right after it was primed.:D

Needed a couple hours out of it to get it to scream and off she went.
Won the B, made the bump.
Started 10th, worked my way up to 3rd and was running there until a nut fell off the steering tie rod ending my day.

What can I say. Anybody want a Alpha Dragon with less than a gallon on it?? I think I just proved the difference between quanity and quality.

CRE IS and always will be my motor guys. Never again will I buy into the hype.

Thanks John and Neal.

Good old Clocked Werks engines !!!!!! great to hear those are still kicking.... one day we will have to freshen those up or find you suitable replacements......

First of all you can't go wrong with any of CRE motors. The .22 Is awesome, smooth but ramps hard. Really nice motor. Ran that motor on all different surfaces from loose, rough to high bite. It's also controllable cause it's got a smooth initial bottom.
The Virtus on the other hand is the newest thing out and I'm sure it's gonna be a winner.

I guess the cat is out of the bag..

I have 2 different prototype engines I have been working with.....a .19 Buggy engine and a .22 truggy engine......The .22 is essentially a up stroked Top .21 7 port...and the .19 is a de-stroked Bonito...... The .19 is a little ripper with a great buggy specific powerband.... full broad RPM range, revs very high but has great trigger response at low RPM without being overly powerful.....And the .22 revs like a Bonito but has more grunt at low Speeds and seems to get even better runtimes......
