How good is the clocked O.S. 21XZ-B SPEED versus the clocked Picco Boost 5TR, and what are the characteristics of both? I know not directly comparable with the price bracket - but curios to know what makes the O.S speed so desirable!

The Clocked Speed is quite good....has a substantial amount more kick then the stock version...very good overall powerband with one of its more exceptional qualities is its midrange pull...coming off a jump the engine accelerates a buggy like its attached to a bungee cord.....Its a fairly dynamic engine overall very peppy and has a evil exhaust note....

The Picco is smoother then the Speed, has very good low RPM grunt and carries its power deep into the RPM range.... I would say the Picco's strong points are its bottom end grunt and its effortless tuning....Very easy to drive engine, sounds very exotic on a 2013 pipe...... engine almost tunes itself....

Couldn't go wrong with either of them........we also carry other good engines...on a lower budget we have the Blast V12, which IMO is one of the best overall performers regardless of price...Very stable and easy to tune at the same being exceptionally fast,smooth and powerful....

I ran a clocked BTT WC at the last race and it was by far the smoothest engine I own. It has plenty of torque and runs strong even without leaning it too much. Every time I run this engine it just keeps going and I could not be happier.

I am going to rebuild my Ninja BO2 what brand bearing would you recommend?
And what size are they?

Interesting - the good strong mid range pull could be quite useful and noticeable as a lot of time on med-large size tracks is around mid RPM range especially with fast throttle blips.

As for the smoothness. Does this translate into a more linear throttle response or as in less "explosive" power? You could theoretically have explosive bottom end (haha) but smooth response up the Remaining RPM range? Does smoother mean less power overall in this case or?

yes it has a more linear power delivery in relation to trigger.... You need to give the Picco more trigger to get the juice as opposed to the OS which comes on with little trigger input......Takes a little adapting between the two.... driving the two the OS will feel more dynamic , but side by side the two engines would pretty much run neck and neck.....

Neil, Just wondering if you are going to be making a set of Nitromizers that fit just the Werks motors. Or if the OS/NOVA set has any issues with it sticking up a little. I am going to be running these next season, as I have herd nothing but great things about them.

I will be running the MED one in a truggy with a Clocked B5 and the Smaller one in my B6 equipped buggy.

I would actually have you use a Nova carb on those Werks ! then the Mizer will fit perfectly, as well I like the way the N carb tunes over the W carb .....

edit:...Also for the Werks carb you could shorten a existing Mizer some quite easily.....The material is relatively easy to work with, can be sanded or filed.......The Mizers can even be opened up if someone was looking for a slightly larger size......

Well got a few tanks throught the new keep off 21-7 XL today. Getting ready for Canadian Nats next week. That thing got balls, even running rich still, keeps me smiling! :D

I was shocked by how much power the Clocked Keep-off 7 has.....We were just running one on Friday night and it was awesome, super crispy bottom end with all sorts of grunt, noticeably more potent then my Clocked Bonito.....We didn't stretch the top end as the engine is still quite new, but the few squirts we dd give showed the engine is going to be a monster on top once it finishes loosening up....Definitely a smile inducing engine :nod:

Had a race yesterday with the Clocked RB Blast V12, definately a nice running engine. Since I normally run Truggy (CRE P5) and now buggy, I setted the clutch to a low stall. Engine was very smooth and has a incredible mid to top. The RB was still running rich, since it is not fully broken in yet. But already showed a high top!

Is it true that this engine likes a little higher stalled clutch? Had it set real low, which give me alot of feeling in the engine but it seemed like suffer for half a second
