I have a Clocked P5, RB BXR, and a Nova 4BTT what is the best pipe for power or run time that would suit all these engines considering that they will be used in a Serpent Buggy and Truggy, Medium traction tracks.
Thanks

Clocked P5...2058, 9886/41001

Stock RB BXR , Not sure, dont care much for the engine.....

BTT...stock or mod ? on the mod we run the 9886/41001

The rb bxr works well with the 9901/41001. Really opens up the bottom.

What to get for my buggy

Ok I got the clocked p5 for my truggy. I am super impressed with it. The thing is mean. And getting 10+ min run times. What clocked engine should I get for my losi 8 eu build. What will blow my mind over the p5? Looking for smooth controlled massive power. Fuel mileage. Want it to be a nova also. I am sold on nova engines. I have learned that I can depend on them to run every time. Not have to fool with them much besides tuning for weather changes ect... :)

Isn't the 086 pipe the same as the 99886?

more or less.........tho I do feel the 9886SS pipe functions the overall best...the OFNA 086 has more of a top end kick, but not as much grunt..more of a on/off feel......... the dynamite pipe is decent, but you need the 41001 style manifold

You know u are spot on with the on off feel of the 086. That has been exactly what I have been thinking with my p5. I am running the 086. It like a on off switch. I have been kicking around wanting to put my 2058 on it to see if it will smooth it out some. It is ether off or screaming. Lol! but she will keep up and chew up just about anything on the track. and when I run it I so can tell the deference from my p5 to the rest of the engines running n the track also! It's pretty cool.lol! :D

the OFNA pipe does do that...the 9886SS is definitely smoother and quieter, it is a more refined pipe.......For making big power the OFNA pipe is crazy !!! the 2058 really sings on the P5 too.....probably smoother then the OFNA 086........ And yeas those P5's are ballistic !!!! not only do they go like stink they also sound like they are going to kill someone !!!!

The 2058 does smooth it out some n screams a little higher too. You will also gain a little runtime over the 086. Bigjayjay and bbuggymaster runs the. 2058. I love the power band of the 086.

I can vouch for the smoothness of the 9886SS/41001 combo on the Clocked P5. I'm glad Neal talked me into spending the extra money for a new exhaust when I bought it. Synergy is a good word to describe this combo.

Just cleaning my Clocked Bonito and putting together... Then i had a brain cramp...

What is the shimming for the head button on the Clocked Bonito? I currently have zero shimming. is that right?

rcfoxhound 03-10-2013 11:12 AM

If i remember correctly,you should have 2x .3mm aluminum shim(.6mm total)
