Just raced the nova clocked 28-7 for the 1st time. Took 1st in the 20 min main. What a horse! Took a bit to get used to the power delivery but i must say for the huge power it has its mannered very well. Thanks Neal and Johnny!

Default Clocked Blast

I've kind of been hoarding the clocked Blast v12 after break in so today during practice I put it in and ran in a bit on the track where the ROAR nats were held in Porter at Mikes. It is a smooth flowing track and has just the right amount of grip when it's a bit dry and has less rubber laid down, and a tough double in between two turns that needs more bottom end than you would think. I thought it would be a good test of the engine combined with a pretty long back strait away . and three doubles on the front. One thing I've learned about clocked motors is the bottom end likes to be close to flush and especially with the short bottom end needle, don't be afraid to run the top end a bit leaner than you may be afraid to cause it's so fast. a very strong idle is the most difference with this engine most likely due to the balanced and full crank. it gives lots of confidence in staying running and the powerband is controllable with great torque and very high top speed. It seems in between a 5 port and 7 port. Not a bad place to be at all. It takes a smooth touch of throttle because it pulls hard but not immediately, but not a delay as with some engines. a bit like a speed in all honesty. The two bypass ports remind me of the Crono 5+2 or even 3+2. It's like a p5 with more top and slightly smoother or longer powerband. it does take some getting used to but I really do like it. I put a nova dual sealed front bearing in it and a protek rear ceramic just to top it off. Thanks again Neal. Oh yeah I ran it with 9853ss pipe and 41001 header and 7mm insert.

congratulations to CRE team driver Josh Ford, TQ in all 3 of his class's, ended up with the win in both Truggy and PRO4, Was in the lead of Buggy class when a clutch locked up. Sheered off a clutch pin on the flywheel.

Thanks Neal, The engines ran beautiful all weekend, the track was very hard packed but wouldn't get a good groove from lack of moisture deep in it, they actauly had not gotten any rain for 10 days, which is amazing, always seems to rain anytime or place that a RC race is scheduled these days..lol
With these conditions, Josh had to be easy on the trigger, he did an honest 10 minute pit stop in the main, which is a rarity for him and his heavy throttle finger you know he has..lol It did almost run flame as he left pits but he did a great job of catching it with his finger to keep it running.

During friday practice, Josh let another driver run his truggy and buggy for a while as he fine tunes the engines and was helping others with tuning in the pits. That driver could not believe the power in the Bonito that was in the truggy, was all smiles...He has not made the switch to Clocked Engines yet, but he did will be soon I bet.

Thanks You Neal and John for the engines.

Horsepower has this tendency to break things. If you're not breaking anything you're not going fast enough.

With the amount of stuff Josh breaks, it's no wonder he's always on top, and Neal's given him the power to break all those parts!

As some of you may know I use my Truggy to exercise my dog...We go out a couple times per week and George chases the truggy around the park..This is George's job and he absolutely loves it....All my neighbors love watching george perform and we get quite the audience when we go out....Anyways the other day George managed to rundown the truggy and in the process lose his footing... Anyways I will let the video tell the rest... George ended up being fine, but its definitely not anything I would want to happen again....

So Brent Bones asked me to see what could be done with the Nova 28-5T..In hopes that we can make a more a more affordable alternative to the 28-7T, which is very popular l in oval racing.....Anyways on Friday we installed my prototype Clocked 28-5 into my truggy and took it to the track to test...Anyways the engine was quite impressive and it definitely exceeded my expectations....The engine has all sorts of crazy power and is one of the punchiest nastiest engines I have ever come across to date..I definitely would not recommend this engine for truggy racing, the powerbad is much to aggressive and the engine would be uncontrollable on anything but the highest grip track surfaces.....However for any applications where someone wants the ultimate powerhouse this engine would be a top choice..The power for the dollar this engine offers is just excellent....it comes as both rotostart and Bumpstart....

Anyways here is some video clips i shot of the engine...

Ok when your winter rolls round and the track close's, you can send that engine on holidays here to Australia, It will need some exercise during your colder months .

What a pure weapon of power
