Hey clockers can I get some opinions on after run oil for a clocked engine? None, Marvel Mystery, 3 in 1 , an RC specific brand?? What's the consensus?

When my mills are shelved for a while, I use synthetic 2 stroke as non-synthetic can ruin your silicone filling in your crank... Trust me...

+1 on no ARO if using mills regularly with high quality fuel (eg Byrons)

McD44 02-20-2013 04:56 PM

Word, I'm good with using nothing. Fits into my budget nicely.

hookem34 02-20-2013 04:57 PM

Ever since I switched to Werks fuel, I no longer use ARO. And some of my engines will sit for months between use with no rust.

sschultz 02-20-2013 06:56 PM

I guess as long as your engines are kept in a controlled envirorment without big temp and humidty swings, no aro is necessary with quality fuel. I will still use it myself just because it's cheap insurance...:tire:

100% agree when using Werks fuel...its protection carries on even after use...we never use ARO and never have any issues.... SOme of the other fuels the engines will rust in only days due to the high acidity of the fuel................

Blackrock is the #2 dive spot in the world. I have dove all over the world and blackrock is my favorite. There are things in the water that only exist there. It's my fav dive spot right there at the Sheraton in kanapaili :D

Neal, I have a question. I am thinking about selling my truggy but i dont want to get rid of the proto 7. Do you think i could gear it up few teeth and set up the clutch up with low stall and it work in my buggy , or do you think the new brass fly wheel would do the trick from buku ?

I've run the Proto 7 in the buggy with stock gearing and a mild clutch setup and it performed quite well. It was very smooth, but still had tons of power when needed. I ran the M2C 4-shoe aluminum fly wheel with half the grub screws in. I ran 4 medium shoes, with 2-.9 and 2-.95 clutch springs. It is very mild, and tames the bottom end down for the buggy. Hope this helps.
