Okay, thanks

Sorry Tony, i was at the track all night. You'll have to ask Neal what all he does to that particular engine cuz i'm not sure. Call him. (204) 487-3241. Had another night of flawless performance and only had to lean it an hour as night time set in. It's clearing jumps only e scales were clearing without any run up. RB pipe is working great on this smaller track.

aznitronut 08-21-2012 08:48 PM

What RB pipe are you using?

hambone 08-21-2012 08:55 PM

2045/192

aznitronut 08-21-2012 09:00 PM

Thanks, that's what I have on it, I have about 6 tanks thru it, got in on eBay for 160, had 2 tanks thru it, it still sticks on tdc.

Neal's mods brought out lots of bottom compared to stock. Topend is way better too. With a ofna 086 it has ballistic topend, like 300' long straight topend.

aznitronut 08-21-2012 09:10 PM

Geesh, that's just what I need! Can't you just see me, a 62 yr fart trying to hang onto that much power, let alone cataracts, I guess I could drive up some bodies butt that much faster, lol

I actually smoothed the engine out.... in stock trim it runs very high blowdown timing which makes the engine more explosive in delivering power....I reduce the exhaust timing and reduce the blowdown timing, which gives the engine more grunt while reducing the explosiveness..... This allows the engine to find traction easier which is why you are seeing it clear the jumps so effortlessly..............

aznitronut 08-21-2012 09:37 PM

Sounds good, he's running that engine in. Truggy also, isn't he? That's what I would be using it in. Maybe I will you tomorrow and see what I may do.

hambone 08-21-2012 09:52 PM

Yes Tony, truggy. And yes Neal it delivers power very smoothly with right pipe. Buku clutch is fantastic on it also. It's a sweet ass engine, lol.

aznitronut 08-21-2012 10:02 PM

Are you using 1.1 clutch springs? Or just using weights on the flywheel?

hambone 08-21-2012 10:08 PM

Buku is an adjustable 3 shoe clutch. Each shoe has a setscrew on outer edge of flywheel to adjust spring tension. All 3 shoes are adjusted in a stagger which acts like a torque converter more than dumping the clutch on a stick. Properly setup you can get alot of action with very little trigger finger. It's an awesome clutch.

I have a 2087 pipe, and a 204,198, and 192 headers, haven't really had much luck with it, any recommendations? I have tried it on C6, Shark, WS7, and power is terrible, like its restricting.

hambone 08-22-2012 09:41 AM

I know the manifolds but not the chamber. Some RB pipes are very restrictive. I personally wouldn't use a manifold longer than the 192. On stock C6's the 2045 worked well with the shorter dbl bend manifold off the OS2050 pipe or the nova 41001 manifold. I used the 9886/41021 with good results on my modded C6 USA.

aznitronut 08-22-2012 10:59 AM

How about it Neal, what do you know about the RB 2087 pipe, and what header and engines work well with that?
