Yesterday was JBRL round 1 at Thunder alley raceway, I raced my truggy mugen mbx6t with CLocked Bonito. Blue and Orange and yellow wheels truck. The track was very technical with elevation changes and a long sweeping straightaway. I missed TQ by 4 tenths of a second in the second round of qualifying. The bonito was flying, i was getting 10 mins + runtime. amazing power, M2C clutch with 1.0 springs.
Gah, so jealous! This is what our track in Edmonton currently looks like:

Needless to say, we won't be racing on it for a few weeks yet. However, the wait was killing me so I finally took my D8T (fitted with Clocked Werks B5) out for its first dry-ground run ever at a park near my house (I had built it during Christmas holidays). Jeebus that thing RIPS! Love that almost chainsaw-like sound from the B5. Also found that perfect sweet spot for the LSN, this thing was ripping grass off the ground. I can't wait to see what it can do on the track!

Debut of the Mugen Truggy today running a 10 gallon CRE B5 and I won both mains. Qualified 3rd in the first main and won by 2 laps, Qualified last in the second main due to broken A arm and won by a lap over the field. Buggy was awesome also as My P5 was golden. Took 3rd and 4th in buggy mains I believe. Did have 1 ghost flame with the buggy. On a sour note I lent my 13 gallon original version CRE B5 to a friend so he could race truggy and it threw a rod and destroyed the engine..Oh well, not like I didnt get my money's worth

Broken arm on a Mugen. Man I have never heard of such a thing....

Back to the topic. I got to let the new P5 loose today in a newly built 811 TE kit. All I can say is woooooooaa what a killer engine. I made a few passes up and down the street (for the neighbors) and then left the newly slicked out tires to a parking lot to get some fuel through it. I love this engine it just sings and 220's winding up like it should pop but it just keeps on pulling. When I brought it in to temp my buddy looked at me confused at the 226 on the exergen. His coment was it sounded more like 290. And its still got to get settled in. The 086 pipe seems to be right at home on it and the note is perfect. What a great engine. Thanks CRE.

We had our monthly big race - thanks TRCC as always we had a good showing two class for all classes. It was hot humid with a nice breeze in the upper 80's. Qualified nicely took 2nd in truggy amain. My bonito has almost two gallons still tight my ofna blue box has a hard starting cold but man awesome smooth power was running a werk 6 ofna 086 Byron's Gen 30 9 oil , m2c two .95 two 1.0 was pitting at the 10 mark. Neil and Jon did this motor right I know some feel I push their products a lot its only cause i feel their line is the best money can buy referring to the NOVA line. My team member Nesh had a awesome days also he was pulling hard with a lot of traction many many comments all positives. Nesh and i had a great day what tops burning fuel nice weather great people running with awesome gear making for a non troubled day my motors stayed on tune with no adjustments even as the sun dropped were clock locked and loaded

Well, raced the P5 in my buggy today and had a big grin om my face throughout the day...with buggy. qualified 2nd and finished 2nd in the A main. Power everywhere I could ask for. Hug the corner tight...clear a triple with ease. Go wide on the turn and open the inside for someone to pass....peg the trottle and shut the door on em and pull away. Most amazing buggy motor I ran yet.
Truggy was another story
Had made a bad choice of tires in the 1st qualifier and placed 6. 2nd round....flameout....made a mistake and didnt replace my plug after the break in on the Bonito.
Anyway, ended up in the B main. I cannot remember the last time I was in a B main but oh well, figured I could bump. Ran strong in the main and was actually in the lead for a bump up but flamed again! Pit guy started it up and was pushing the truggy hard to make up time but came up a half lap short at the end....finished 2nd in the B.
I had a great day overall and considering this was my first full race since November, I did pretty good. These Clocked engines were ALOT to do with it, I'm sure because I had the power to do more than I could do before.
BigJay had a great day as well..Bonito was smokin and propelled him to a 2nd place finish in the A! Well done my friend...I get you next time! LOL
Cant even remember how many people asked what we were running in our rides...Looks like you will be getting more orders from Hawaii soon. Thanks again Neal and John!
