Still around and contemplating a purchase:D I do have a few questions, will I have to switch brands of fuel to run a Clockwork motor? Clocked B5 better than a Clocked B6? Just curious what thought's are out here!

Which brand of fuel do you run ?

motomanpat 04-01-2011 12:30 PM

Currently I am running Byrons:)seems like good fuel and doesn't gunk up the engine. I am in the mood for change at least motor wise;) I feel I am at a point now that I need a bit more motor than I have had in the last few years and I also would like to try a different brand than I have had in the past.

Byron's is great fuel ! no issues there at all.......Now if you said Traxxas there may be an issue LOL !

The B5 is punchier then the B6...both are great...but if you want more kick then the B5 is the way to go IMO

Thanks Neal,

Not sure about the Clocked B5 as it looked pretty hard to drive in that video online
I might be looking for a full meal deal Clocked B5 or B6 engine, bearings, pipe and header(not sure which one though?),werks clutch setup for MP9,are those flywheels out of stock currently? Shipping length of time? Just curious thank you in advance.:)

you can't go wrong dealing with neal and john ! i always practiced under promise and overdeliver...but these guys take it to a new level ! awesome customer service and follow up after the sale is incredible. i am now the proud owner of a clocked B6 , werks clutch and 2058 pipe. and it only took 4 business days for my order to make it to ohio !

It's a 32mm April 8th;) not too woried about that though. Do I need a 4 shoe clutch to run either engine or will a standard three shoe be fine? If I was looking to save a little money are there any other brands of pipes that work well with these engines? As I do have some pipes currently.

come over to the darkside Pat "lone wolf". Although I don't have any experience with the B6, I ran the B5 2013 in my buggy, and had to go up one tooth on the clutch bell to tame the beast. Knowing your driving style, I would think that the B6 2058 would be a great fit for you. You would be doing yourself a injustice not running a werks or werks based pipe on one of these mills.

morkendi 04-02-2011 01:30 PM

hey neal, do you plan on working you magic on some of the new os 19xz? Seems to be some interest in this mill.

Anyone ran a box stock B6 and then had it clocked? What differences did you notice after if was modified?
