Yea you really do not need to mod the B5 to make it faster. It has TONS of power and doesn't need anymore. even for truggy its plenty. Just ordered my B6 for my buggy. cant wait to see how much better it is! And the runtime with these engines are just awesome!

Any more I should consider?

They are in abundance where I race and they seem strong. I would say 50% alpha or B5 and then the other 50% the rest.

I guess because it's been out a little under a year makes it not new enough. I mean, it's probably a better idea to NOT run a motor with a massive following of success stories in preference of a motor that is newer -- I mean this being the first outdoor summer season for the b5 makes it wayyyy too old.

I would not say I dont like the HB. If something happend to me money wise, that will be what I'd drive. Im not a FANBOY of Hoopty Bucket (J/K) I will run Losi as long as they make good stuff.

Wasnt you the one that said he gets 27.34 mins per tank on a vspec.... So does the Werks get better mileage than that?

Seriously, I am not a fan of Werks engines. Never had one, so there is nothing bad I can say about them.

People keep trying to sell the B5 based on power. Power dont win races. I have a heavy trigger finger and prefer something that dont have me spending a million dollars in tires and clutch. I run my vspec with a 7mm insert and I find that is perfect for my driving style and Im not bad with it and I do not get burned by any engine. Power is good but to much is bad. The SPEED is the best engine I have ever ran. Its just to expensive for my ability to drive and ability to tune.

I have a Nova 21-5 that I ran a year back and I drove a 21-4 and I did not like the feel, to smooth for my driving style.

Now I like RB but here, they are a itch to tune and I would have to keep asking our RB team driver to keep tuning it.

I really like the low to mid transition on the vspec. Is there any engines that have a similar feel in that transition?

While I have not driven one just yet, I hear awesome things about the Alpha Red Head (F850) engine as far as smooth power, but still plenty of it. Also the B6 (I know...not a Werks fan) is super smooth as well.

The best engines out there are the ones that make you finish races and are easy for you to tune. From Werks to Os Speeds's they all work good in the right hands.

If you want smooth power look at the TQ .21 engines, awesome smooth yet abundant power

based on these 2 things...why NOT give werks a try? and the B6 feels like my speed but with better runtime and a tad more up top power...seriously give a B6 a try...you will be very happy...its made in ITALY so you know it is quality!

I think you guys are breathing too much nitro from your 2013s.
How can anybody (thats not sponsored) compare a b5 to an os speed?
Just listening to both tells the whole story, did someone state they got better runtime with the b5?

I am not a werks hater everyone has them by me and they run very well, but come on now
