I believe they do. Ive heard extraordinary things about the new Team Orion "Alpha CRF" .21 Abi motor that was released not too long ago. They must be a hit because they are either sold out or on back order any where you go. Take a look!

That seems to be the 'bee's knee's' of motors at the moment. I do believe that's the motor that Tebo used to win the ROAR nats in truggy and in buggy. I know its the driver that makes the difference, but a reliable strong lasting motor does play a part in long A main races.

This year I've used 3 different engines all brand new. A speed, FMS and B5 and based on performance alone I'll be sticking to the B5 or maybe a new B6 let alone value.
The B5 has been the easiest to break in and so far has run great. I'm about 3 gallons in so far. I also ran this at the Nats in my buggy without issue, not one flame out all weekend.

wow interesting...I sold my 2 o.s speeds in favor of the werks b6-buggy and b5-truggy....runtime with the werks is better then what my speeds had. power is better then my speeds...and the b6 is very smooth like the speeds..b5 is a little more aggressive but can be adj. with clutch set-up....if you wanna be gung ho on not buying a werks engine then you are only screwing yourself over..

You do know me.....
And even though this isn't a new engine, the OS VSPEC Pro Mod is basically a speed that's less expensive. As I said before the modded Works B5 will be about the same price as a Vspec, so not that cheap.

^^^there is ZERO reason to mod a B5...unless you want it modded for smoothness and runtime
I have always like my v-specs- they are a proven engine...but 2 be able to by (2) werks engines for the price of a speed with money to spare....or buy
(1) werks engine and pipe for less then the price of a standard blue head v-spec why would you say NO??!!??....
thats like saying hot bodies are no good because they are half the price of everything else..when in fact they are a excellent choice I used to run Mugen but have gone with hot bodies as they are just as good for less money and I like beating them "high" dollar buggys and engines with my "cheap" stuff
cheap in price yes cheap in quality no....theres a difference!

I think all these engines are over price because of the brand ( been out for a while) and because of the pro drivers running them... it makes us wanna run what they running because we wanna win and be fast like them. I can bet if Adam Drake or Ryan M. gets the cheapest engine and win a few big races with it, were going to go buy it. Thats why those engine cost so much. I might be wrong but thats what i think.
I say go with the Werks B6 if you have a buggy B6 or the B5 for truggy. Hey you can even get both for the price of just the O.S speed.
