I try to be perfessional but when I am being attacked for "old news" kinda frustrating...I mean Trevor our deal was 4 yrs ago still holding a grudge?!?!
this is all I am saying Werks Engines are "WERKing for me"
like I said Token I am offering to send you my backup B5 to try for yourself...who else is WILLING to send him your personal engine to try out?!?!?

I have yet to try an engine that I totally hated, but out of the list below of engines I have used, the only one that was not worth the price was the V-spec. It was toast after 3 gallons and that was with new bearings and rod at the two gallon mark.
Hyper .21 8 port ( 8 plus gallons)
OS V Spec ( 3 gallons )
Novarossi +4 ( 6 gallons and still going strong )
Werks B5 ( 3 tanks, still in break in stages)
Jammin JPX .21 ( 7+ gallons ) ( new one not yet broken in )
Ofna JL ( 3 gallons and ripping , but this one is Clocked
)

I do not mind being put out in the street...if I f something up I will say it. the JS engine wouldnt pull on the bottom for me...sent it to Ed took a mnth to get back to me thats just B/S! never have I had ANY issues with v-specs nor werks I ran a B3 back when they first came out indoors with great sucsess...its easy to point fingers at people but lets be serious here I had issues with 2 engines so I am the one to blame of course!
anyone who sees your post about reusing that flywheel will throw whatever info you push out the window.

the rod in my jpx just let go today.. It was an awesome engine. Just because the rod let go doesnt mean its the worst engine ever. Ill get another someday just for screwing around and practicing with because it was a really good engine!

some I will take to two gallons but most will show something in the one to two gallon range. I wont say it is the motors fault cuz they all have thier little perks. I watch others and what works or not for them too. I will try different tunings and so on to give each the best shot I can but in the end if it does not fit my bill then it gets shelved. Does not mean its junk by any means just means its not a good fit for my driving. The werks B5 that I thought lost its nuts after a gallon is now in my buddies buggy and living life in the fast lane for him. He loves it to death and it works for him. its a good motor, just not for me.
Regardless of brand I believe (unless your getting paid to run a particular brand) you will have to sort through the brands to find what works for you and your situation. I know guys running Axials that swear by them and the reliability of them. Could not prove it by me other than I have witnessed it in thier hands, in my hands they dont stand a chance. Wish they did cuz they are easy on the pocket book!

I can say that the B6 does get better mileage than the Speed. Also better mileage than the plus 4. Ron has designed this engine to do so. He smoothed out the bottom end which has increase run time over a B5 and +4. Some other tweaks were done in order to keep up the performance as well. The B5 and B6 cranks are harden but not coated. The cranks will last 3 plus p/s changes or resizing. I'm not saying this thing is better than the speed in longevity (haven't gotten that 15+ gallons on my Werks yet) but for the price and mileage its well worth it over a speed.
