My Deluxe model has thermal switching and two heat settings
I use the non deluxe version on my new Nitrotec 21 engine and it made running in an absolute breeze. Also it helps the amount of wear on the starter box motors and rubber wheel as it makes it so much easier to start. I also like the fact that at the start of my heat the engine is up to temperature which would normally have effected my first few laps of the heat. The engine still has a lot of pinch left which many of my engines in the past would have had a lot less left just after just over 1 gallon.

I can't see how a competition heater would work at all! I mean your wrapping the head fin's .The piston and sleeve are in the engine block so tell me what's the sence in that? All your doing is heating the head button at best.Thats why a heat gun works best.
If some one came up with something that wrapped the block then that would be worth the money.Wrapping the head is stupit and there's nothing anyone can say about that.YOUR NOT HEATING YOUR PISTON AND SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Think about it.

Yeah....

You ever hear of conductive heat transfer? The heat source is at the cooling head fins, but the heat is transferred throughout the entire engine. If left on for more than 15 - 20 minutes, you will actually get a good heat soak into the chassis.

Why don't you try one out before making a statement such as this, or just leave the reviews to those who have actually used them....

And that it why there is a fan in the top of the RC Sure Start heater which blows the air down over the crank case. The head is completely covered so as to retain as much heat as possible. I get my engine up to 90 degrees C after 5 mins from a 12v source and pulls under 5A. He really should have researched before he posted.

Default I use

I use a 20 year old hair dryer that works great. It's a small one that doesn't heat up other areas of the car, and works great on break in....

I kinda look at the heat products like the charger and radio wraps. Not really important....but to each his own.....I probably buy engines and tires with the same money spent on extra stuff that isn't needed for racing.....

Great for cooking the bearing grease, melting the O-rings in the engine also

sure..just as flamable and dangerous as the rebranded furniture polish products you sell your probably a engine heater device peddler also.

i knew i would get reamed..
only a mooron would hold it directly at the head and block..
obviously you keep the torch at a safe distance only for a few seconds at a time.
cant someone share there own method of breaking in a engine away from home without someone trying to sell them something or needing a whole arsonal of trackside equipment to do it??

Jewn_Beef- You say-"If you have time".. all you do is pop it on.. and then leave it until your ready to go.. heat gun=Need a wall socket.. or a generator ect..plus then you have to stand around for the 3 mins moving it around the engine.. while the other guy. Is chatting, or checking screws.. while you have less time as you have to stand around moving the heat gun around.. and hoping to get a good enough coverage.. it heats up the whole case.. not just 1 spot..

blacksunshine-If you dont want to prolong your engine life.. and save on some some £ long term then go ahead.. No one is making you get one, but in the long run they make sense.. Enjoying slamming you cold piston up against you liner and lessoning the pinch each cycle.....
