I personally like the 2069 the most.. for me it provides the best balance of response and top speed. As far as venturi I would probably stay with a 7mm or bigger, unless your using the .23 and that will run well with the 6mm.

tony. sent you a pm..... jeremy

Let me know how the .23 runs, 2 feet of snow isnt exactly the ultimate test bed for all the new stuff :(

Lets hear how your R/C weekend goes also... AZ should be dialed this time of year you lucky schmuck

I will let you know for sure, I will also test the .23 with the tuned crank only and the tuned crank and backplate, see if I notice anything huge. I am a eiffffffff scale junkie I think.

Tony Newland 12-01-2010 12:37 PM

cool... no scale here... 2 feet of snow, got down to 4deg the other night...... :flaming: I hate snow

Chris Peralta 12-01-2010 12:39 PM

LOL dude we have not even had enough snow here to measure yet. I am sure now that these just arrived there is a huge storm brewing in the near future.

Tony Newland 12-01-2010 12:42 PM

your welcome for absorbing all the storms before they get to you guys :lol:

When will the truggy engine be available at Amain or Absolute? Will there be a Tuned version of the Truggy engine? Can you put the Coated backplate from the tuned motor on the truggy motor? Or is the case different? Does the truggy engine have a silicone filled crank?

Thanks

In stock at Nitro North.com

The crankcase and rod are the same on both 21s and the 23. The 23 uses the same crank and backplate as the B01 while using the carb from the B01T

Chris Peralta 12-01-2010 10:03 PM

The tecnoduro tuned back plate for the tuned .21 will not work on the .23 since the bore is bigger on the .23 the piston will hit on the backplate at BDC. Don't try putting this backplate on the .23 or you will break a piston.

The tuned .21 crankshaft does fit the .23 perfectly tho.

Chris Peralta 12-01-2010 10:05 PM

The .23 does not come with a silicone filled crank.

I currently run a 9mm venturi but i tried a P4 the other day with a 6.5mm venturi and was much around the same on low end but had way more top end...can't imagine it with a 9mm!!

Tony Newland 12-02-2010 10:01 AM

I cant say I've ever ran a 9mm restrictor... :weird:

Chris Peralta 12-02-2010 10:17 AM

I tried a 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, and 9 in the standard engine and ended up going back to the 7 for the best all around performance/reliability/fuel economy.

Just got my .21 bo1-t what do you think the Orion 2066 pipe would do mileage and power wise on a buggy?

053 or 069 or jp-1 would be my choice if i didnt have the 2069 pipe...i dont know enough about the orion pipes to give an honest answer.. give it a try.... what is the worst that is going to happen?? bad fuel mileage with a soft power band.... maybe it will be a screamer!!!

got the .23 running today.. got 3/4 of a gallon on this motor.... still so tight that i cant turn over by hand when warm... has very very good bottom end.. but looks like it will turn some rpm's once fully race ready... have not pulled over 1/2ish throttle yet...

the .21 (non tuned) has 2 gallons on it and is still very hard to turn over.. runs like a top and is getting very good run time on the 2069 pipe... a big thank you to tony for letting me have a chance to run the mills... jeremy
