Tony, I see that you are selling your TQ engine on
the "For Sale" threads. http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...21-engine.html Maybe you could tear it and a TechnoPower engine down and show us how much better the internals are in the TP engines, compaired to the TQ engines. To see this would be a great way to convince me and others, once and for all, that this is THE ENGINE to buy. If I can see the hundred dollar price difference, I'll have a TP engine on order tonight. |

Sorry that I made ya  Chris. Nothing but :) :) :)'s
here. |
I would but its not mine and he shipped it earlier today... it was a local racer's that liked the performance of his Tecno much better, I was simply listing it for him. But thanks for pointing that out :)
No need to worry rageworks... the engines we've been working on, that will be released very soon, are vastly changed BOTH visually and internally so that will clear up some of the confusion :) So you'll be able to sit at your computer and see the differences. If anything the engine market today is great for the consumer.... more options than ever before. For the money the Tecno is a great buy, excellent power, better than average runtime, durability and reliability. We have plenty of happy customers out there that would agree. I dont think there is "THE ENGINE" out there, each has their own design and features. If you dont like the Tecno line or myself personally (which is pretty obvious), thats up to you. Not sure why we're still going on about this. Why dont you buy one of each and report to us the differences since this is such an important subject to you. This thread is for people to talk about Tecno, receive tech support or read about latest information about the product.... not simply to rant endlessly |
Trust me, your not making me cry!! Killin me.. yes

Thanks for the offer to do your marketing for you.
I'll spend my money elsewhere. Seems this engine, like others, got hyped up with press releases and buku pages of threads even before it was on the market. I miss the days when the distributors of quality engines were more than happy to post pics of the internals of there engines, even go as for as posting crank and port timing numbers when asked. Hell, I bet most of them have no knowledge about how the measurements are done, much less know how to it themselves. |

I only ask because the guy knows what he is doing when it comes to these toy car engines. He isn't going to come back into this business and put his name on an average engine. I have seen both engines run and the TP performed better. Think of it like this... Novarossi makes an RB.. some engines are VERY similar but do they perform the same? No... Tecno makes the TQ... TQ tends to sell a budget line of stuff and wanted an engine to sell in the budget price range so they got a budget priced engine from a company that offered that to them. If the Tecno was the SAME they would sell it at the same price so they could sell more of them. Come on man!

But to only post in a forum to try to degrade a product and make blind accusations, there's no quicker way to dis-credit any post you've ever made than to degrade a company or designer that has forgot more than you'll ever know about R/C engines. Not to mention the light you shed on businesses and products you represent. This has to be an all time low of respect I've seen on this forum in 5+ years. We didn't just enter the R/C industry like so many have in the last couple years. We also dont throw our name on everything that comes our way. There is no point to making a "Racer Dist" engine. We're more than happy to be able to work with such an R/C icon and genius as Rody. Nothing good can come from your posts if this your way of representing TQ. Sorry guys, this will be my last post directed to raceworks.... sorry for the waste of thread space. |

From south africa, we are very happy with tecnopower motor
thanks rody!!! |
Like pictures are going to do any good for this rageworks guy. What can you tell about the timing o the matirials used from a photo. Take your negativity somewhere else bud. If techno isn't for you than great take your money and your posts elsewhere.
The motor I drove was great and I'm hard to please. I'm looking forwRd to seeing that new motor run they have coming out. Not to mention what the future hold. Keep up the good work Tony and techno |
Woops
Boy. Did someone step in some @%&* or what. I can't believe the
statements made here today. To insult a person who has been doing such wonderful things for the R/C Racing industry. Sorry Tecnopower crew. I know of the racing heritage and of the engine building/design work of Mr. Roem and that is no feat that the average person can achieve. My hats off to you sir. Please ignore that comment. Picture don't really mean anything other than to show you a portion of what a mfg is doing so it can be copied and in some cases, that still can't be done. Just because bore and stroke are mention are also not what make the engine what it is or isn't. I would not presume to know anything compared to Mr. Roem when it comes to R/C engines. If you also know of his achievements, you would appologize to him and not disrespect him as well. IF you don't know, I suggest you look him up on google or ask anyone who know seriously about engines and racing. Man.. That's like telling Mario Andretti he can't drive. Or Jackie Stewart (The flying Scot) he knows nothing about Formula racing.. Shees :rolleyes: knows nothing about formula |
