I ran mine with a RE11 and a 9853/41021 this weekend at the pit. The 9853 seemed to give it more power and the RE11 had smooth bottom with less run time.

I can tell you that I did see this motor get ran in Aiken at the Spring Cup race by a very talented driver, Travis Dupree. The motor ran great all day, when the main came he pitted at 10min without a problem. After one qualifier we measured and calculated his possible run time to an empty tank, result was just over 13 min. He was running a Werks 2013 pipe and he is sponsored by Losi along with Larry "Big Bird" Ward.

Haha hey Anders. I am trying something new this year. Actually going to wear the same team t-shirt as you ;-)

And for the pipe thing...well I`m just asking because I don`t want to make the same mistake again this year...but I WILL run the Nitrotec for the first part of the season.

Not quite ready to listen to an old mans advice yet haha :-P

I have done nothing but test with this engine the last 3 weekends and ran way too many pipes to list. The best runtime and power came from the orion 2013 pipe and header. One thing I learned is the head is shimmed .1 mm too high out of the box. My engine tuned better and made better power after I removed the extra shim. I would recomend breaking the engine in and then removing the thinnest copper shim. This puts the total shims at .80 mm where it should be. I was getting between 12-13 minutes of runtime at 200-210 degrees at the end of the main. Power really comes to life after the 2 gallon mark. I'm also running the c6 nova plug and 30% nitrotane fuel. I am very happy with the engine. Feels very close to how my plus 4's feel.

Just picked up a Nitrotech today. Started breaking it in. So far it seems to be a great engine. Idles good, sounds good. What is the general consensus on the best pipe? Since its Nova Based, I'd imagine the 9901/41021 or 9853 or 9886?

I like the 9901/41021 combo the best. A lot of people like the truhe 2013 pipe as well but I have not tried it yet.

Thats what i'm thinking as well. The 9901/41021 should be a great combo. The 2013 should produce a bunch of power, But I would think it would lack runtime. If the 9901/41021 does'nt have enough bottom, The 41020 should help. I'm going to finish breaking mine in this week and do some pipe testing this weekend.

Kevin Wilson, and Travis Dupree have ran the 2013 and produced 12-13 minute runtimes. Read a couple post above yours.

I have found the 2013 to be the best balance of power, driveability and mileage. I feel it gets about 30 sec more than the 9901. I have been using an 8mm restrictor and getting 13-14 minutes. The motor needs around 2 gallons to fully break-in and the .10mm head shim needs to be removed after initial run in. I have tried different plugs, but the stock #6 seems to be the best.

If you guys want to see this motor run need to make it to the RC Pro Series
http://theturkeyfarmracing.com/rc_pro_series

Travis Dupree and Mike Kendall they are both losi drivers.

I think Mike will be running this motor as well and both of these guys are fast as hell. It will be some great racing to.

Taylor James is now running for Losi and the Nitrotec

Dyno, I agree with you. I actually think with the amount of power I can run the 6 mm restrictor most places and get even better mileage. I have been running the 7. Mine took almost 3 gallons to come around and also removing the shim helped a lot.
