BOTH.. header pipe and take .2 shim out!

9853 will give you more power, I would try that first that i would go with reducing the head clearance by .1 at a time.

I personally only reduce head clearance as the engine gets older and i start to have random flameouts. I mess with the clutch and pipe to get the power i need. My go to pipe for good al around performance is the 9901. The 2096 does not give me the feel i want no matter what i do. The 9853 will give you the best power for a nova branded pipe..

If you have a friend with a Nova 41001 or 41005 header i would try that first. I used that combo all last year on my elite 5 engines. I would advice to take just mm shim out. Your tuingwindow will be small with mm shim out.

Default Best Nova header/pipe combo

I experiment with headers and pipes a pretty good bit and for me on my MP9TKI4 with a NR Rolling engine,

I think the 9853 pipe used with the 41031 header is the best combination. It gives a combination of strong low end with great top end. Of course all this is at the expense of gas mileage. I haven't checked run time lately but it was getting around 10 minutes the last time I checked it.

Is it easy to take a shim out? I have never taken apart a motor

I'm running it in an mp9 as well. Than you for your input, I'm gonna ask around if someone at my local track has that combo that I can try.

Hello, the other day in a conversation with a friend it came up the possibilities of the inside off the motor stayed black because a lean tuning. It's possible that happened?? Common sense is if lean the engine will be white, right? When it's possible to be black, if who don't clean in maybe 15 litres maybe?? Opinions?? Thanks.

Maybe this will help you to know HOW your engine has to be inside.

Been testing the new Mephesto engine. I have not tried it with the 2135/41021 combo yet. I used the 9901/21 header combo which is supposed to be about the same effect. The engine is really easy to tune and drive. The engine has a very smooth bottom, with a strong mid and top range. Pulls really hard and will put the length of your front straight. The taller engine head will keep the engine cooler while still producing good power and mileage.

Rolling, I have used the 2096/41021 header. This is a good crispy combo for this engine. I ran the Rolling in truck, I used the 41031 header. Got great mileage and still plenty of power. 2135 header will reduce the top speed a lot in the Rolling. just chokes it back to wear you have to lean out the engine.

Ok, it is also a valid point. But the conversation was about if it's possible turn the inside (compression chamber) of the motor black being the misture lean?
Thanks
