Just finishing up the Break-In Fuel quart today of the Bones Brew through my Elite 8 engine. This fuel just putting it in and starting was much more behaved over the Sidewinder fuel I wanted to use up from at the end of last season on this engine and likely buy more Sidewinder. It was having a spazz attack on the starter box like if there was an air leak or something, so it was stored as I intended to switch fuels to something you see more raved about. Engine is progressing nicely in the parking lot with the heat cycle method and this stuff. Made no changes to the needles or anything.
Anyways below you see a pic of my JP-2 Jammin hard anodized pipe and I also have the more bottom end JP-1. Any idea if these will be good enough or should I run the appropriate Nova pipe and headers? I like the non-stick of the hard anodize for the dirt and muck, and if getting the Nova pipes is best has anyone right away brought their polished aluminum pipes down to the local quality anodizer for this treatment? I wonder if performance could get affected? I don’t really think it could but anyone have an idea? http://s32.postimg.org/x9cvfe83p/20160508_102149.jpg |

I wish novarossi would put a forward facing pressure nipple on their pipes like the jammin ones :( would make my pressure line routing look better lol

Ok, quick question to you Nova Gurus, I am wanting a Nova motor for 1/8 buggy, is the P5xlt a good one. I dont need a hardcore race motor as I am just club racing on med size dusty tracks. I would also like to be able to get an easy 8min run time, I am good at tuning, not amaster by any means, but good. Also what manifold and pipe is good budget wise. And about the glow plugs, In Ks. we have between 80-105 degree summers so I should go with the C7 Nova plug right? Also was looking to upgrade my daughters Revo to the Nova 2.5 supercharged combo has anyone played with that motor. She races it in club events too. And C7 for that engine also correct. Or should I have some of the C6 on hand to.

My input on a budget pipe would be a dynamite 053 midrange pipe. In fact it is my favorite pipe on any .21 engine.

Quite a few people do. Buggy and truggy. It's a good engine.
Yes I here in Europe only drive buggy. Now I do not go after the most expensive engines for my buggy, because I now just walk to the end-of-week, and leisure and fun. And no longer want the very expensive engines of brands. Just want a cheap good engine and good fuel economy The Elite 5 here in Europe is € 190. PJ |

I know this maybe obvious to some, but I'm not sure, as I dont have a local parts shop to go to I have to order everything. I am wanting to get the 41021 header and 51006M/9901 pipe, which exhaust gasket and which springs to mount the header to the engine and the header to the pipe. I was on Novadirect site and I would think its the shortest springs for the header to the pipe, but might be the next size up. Also there seems to be alot of different gaskets for 3.5cc engines, so not sure of the differences. This is for a Top Elite 5 .21
Thanks |

Nova P5XLT Glow plugs
Hi all, question about glow plugs. Which plug would be recommended for the xlt in terms of ease of tune. As of now I'm running a 9835(?)mr pipe with bones brew (30%) in a truggy.
As reference my brother ran a P5 years ago and said the odonnel 99 plugs were awesome. Easy to tune and consistent. But unsure which plug is good with the XLT. Any help would be much appreciated. |
I've always preferred the c6tgc over the OD plugs, but out of the OD plugs I think the 277t is the best. The 288t is good too, but it's a little cooler and probably closer to a c7tgc. I don't think they make the 99 anymore, I could be wrong but amain doesn't carry it anymore I believe the v2 plugs are the only ones OD is making these days.
