Whats this i hear about Desoto Suing Novarossi?

Hot damn!
They best not mess with Nova. We need Nova to be in good spirits all the time.
Anyhow, I think I'll try some RB plugs in my Nova the #6?

Hey guys, just trying to sift thru all the bullcrap. Some say the Odonnell plugs are awesome and great, and a few say dont use them, they fail, the coil could drop in, not last yadadadada

Any thoughts on this?

I really like O'Donnell plugs in my Novarossi engines. When its very cold (0-5ºC or for practise) I run 77T. Otherwice I run 97T. Just bought some V2 288T plugs I'll use in my BTT's at races. I can't get my Novas run steady with Novarossi #6 plugs (needs a very high idlespeed to prevent the engine from loading up and flame out after pitstops - running 25% nitro and 0.7 mm headshims)

NEVER lost the coil or similar issues with 97T and 77T plugs.

+1 curious as well given the supposed "shake up" at NR.

hey guys. I have a keep off .21 4 tuned. Replace front ball bearing once and crank shaft once. I have some problems lately and wanted some help.
1. Low is getting rich while accelerating so i lean it out (high is ok). Needs so much leaning in order to work ok ending up having unstable idle and also RPM is not returning to idle normally.
2. Burning a lot of spark plugs lately. i can do 1-2 liters max with a new spark plug.
3. White smoke always when accelerating from idle.

For sure i will use the keep off for racing so i'm going to fix this. At least i will try to. I would appreciate any help and some tips.

You are too rich on bottom it sounds like. So that is prob the reason for popping plugs and unfavorable acceleration and inconsistent performance. You should return the low and high needles to flush and re tune from there. Make sure the engine is already warmed up for 5 minutes or so before re tuning. You need to tune the needles together especially the low and idol needles. They are both affected by each other. When you start changing one of those needles, you have to compensate with the other needle to balance out the change. Then you'll have to change the high needle too to stay in over all balance of the tune. Its trial and error. WISH THEY HAD FUEL INJECTION!!!!!

They are usually very rich from the factory

Sure ,if you want to blow out the front bearing , i would recommend leaning lsn until it is almost at a race tune , leave hsn for now , run about 1/2 gallon ish then start leaning hsn a bit

And how many turns out is " almost race tune" on the LSN?

No such thing as a "how many turns" needle setting ,there are sooo many things that effect the way these engines work its impossible to offer a set needle setting ,hence why novarossi sends the engines out blubbering rich
