Hi guys just wondering what they stock head shimming id for the Keep Off BTT4?

Currently have a OS B2101 with 9901/21 header and brass flywheel. Still too much power to be able to hit the throttle out the corners with out the rear fish tailing or wheel spinning a lot. Looking at the Nova Mito 4 and Rex Legend 4. Has anyone had past experience from changing from a OS to one of these engines?

Up front: I don't know anything about novarossi pipes on an OS motor. That is completely foreign to me. Why are you running this setup? Have you tried the 2060 or 2090? I'm wondering if this is your issue. I went from the Keep-off 4 which shares the same idea as the Legend 4, and a good friend runs the Legend 4. I switched to the samurai, and loved how it mimic'd the smooth bottom end of the keep off, but had more top end. I am running the buku clutch as a progressive setup, so this also heavily impacts how smooth the bottom end can be. |
A lot of us in the UK run the Nova setup on OS because it is noticeably easier to race against others. Run time at this point isn't my main priority if I can't give 100%. 2060/90 is way to much initial. You get better runtime but as soon as its low grip you're driving at 25%. Clutch is a LRP clutch but with a Ghea brass flywheel and 14 bell. Springs are 1.0 mugen as they are slightly softer than LRP 1.0s. I run on a mixture of surfaces. Hard pack high grip dirt to extremely slippy wet Astro. I'm already a smooth throttle racer as I used to run a lot of touring car electric races. Car set up is pretty good it's just the power from the OS is over the top. I can remember on previous engines like the Reedy and REDS you could hammer the throttle.

Hey guys, what carb restrictors do u normally run? im looking for the best compromise with good smooth power and run time. Thanks guys!

OS engine go for 2060 smooth, aggressive bottom 2090... Running 9901 sure will fish tail, that pipe......
Try thinner spring .9mm, full carbon. Venturi always .7mm unless u need extra power |
is anybody has any experience with mito 9 and moto 9 c ,first has the 15.88 piston and the second 16.26 ,also didderent carbs ,what is your choice ,wich one feels like more powerfull

How is the mileage on the elite 8? I seem to remember the 421b being a real fuel hog compared to the p5.

Bearing for the 7 port off road vir-tus
Hey anybody out there Make less exspencive ciramic bearing for this engine
The nova ones show about $100 per bearing LMK thanks john b |

run a P4 glowplug, gives less initial torque. I always use P4. test a 13t clutchbell. A 14t bell will take of some power, but, the cars speed is higher and this can make it difficlut to drive. Also test with carbon clutchshoes, gives you smoother cluthengagement. You can also mix clutchsprings, Use 2 0.9mm and 1 1.0mm spring. Hope this can help you out. |
That's interesting. Nova Direct doesn't have the 9886 for sale any more. Instead of "In Stock" it's been changed to "Not for sale" and if you click on the description it says ***Out of production*** Bummer, I was planning on picking one up. Hopefully they don't plan on getting rid of the 9853 too.
