Will a Bonito PSR fit a Virtus?

Hello, I got my P5xlt running very nicely but I have just one issue with it:
when I go for a refill and basicaly the engine's been idling for at least 30s to one minute when I accelerate the car stalls. I am told this is normal and that I should accelerate to full throttle when the car's been idling for a long time. Is this correct ? I am tempted to lean the LSN (I have a 0.7mm idle gap and everything is just a tad rich for safety sake as it's still new and within the 5L mark).

Thanks

If 30s to 1min, it sure load up even ideal lsn. Usually this situation only encounter in break in process. During race, i think 10-15s for refuel is close enough. Try clear out b4 it stay idling for so long. Hope it helps

I have my LSN set pretty close to ideal (IMHO) after about 20 seconds the idle will drop down as the engine starts to load up, but if I pull the throttle I get a nice crisp take off with a little lager then normal puff of smoke. Once you get the P5 broken in you should be able to do that too. it takes about a gallon and half to fully break-in. you will probably be able to lessen the idle gap and lean the LSN too. Im not sure what mine measures, you just get use to how to tune the LSN and idle screw. You'll know when you get the LSN to lean as the engine will start to do short lean bogs when coming off idle or slow corners when up to temp. Fattening the LSN an hour or 2 takes the short bogs away.

Thank you both for the fast replies :).
What do you mean to try clear out before it stays on idle for a long period ? Give it a good full throtle before ?

Anyone tell me what kind of gas mileage a Clio P5 gets?

Pretty much the same as the P5XLT... about 11 minutes give or take 30 seconds. Tuning is the main thing. While running mine still on the rich side, I was at about 9 minutes. When I got about a gallon thru it, I had to lean it out another 2 hours and started getting over 10 easy, say 10:30 to 10:45. Installed a cooler and bumped it up to 11. Max time I have ever got at race pace was 11:15.

Got a chance to buy a brand new Murnan Modified one but if I can't get ten I don't want it

Slightly throttle a bit in awhile so it wont load up

Has any one got a Novarossi Mito .21 4-Port? How different is it than the Keep Off 4?

Small restrictor, in a truck, 10 should be no problem. Im running the 5.6mm on my P5 and come at 10-10:30 with time to spare... Buggy, may be close. May have to add an exhaust cooler and run a longer feed line.

The difference between the Clio and P5XLT are the cooling head and carb. So if the carb is supposed to be that much better, you got even more time to spare..

I hear Murnan does good work. Get in contact with him and find out what he is seeing from his motors. Straight from the horses mouth is always a good thing. Its the back side you have to worry about.

Looking at getting a new motor since it looks like my P5XLT decided it was time for some bearings to go bad. Looking at the ~$400 price range.

Was looking at the Keep Off (Ceramic Bearings) or the Novarossi VIR-TUS 7-Port .21. Any opinions? Going into a Losi 8ight 3.0

Looking for a new engine

I've been out of the game for a year and I'm looking for a new engine. I've got my eye on either a Keep-Off 21-4, Keep-Off 21-4/S and a Mito 4. I'm looking for good fuel milage and a strong bottom-end. Can you guys tell me how these engines respond on the track and how their performance differs? I'm also open to suggestions on other Nova-based engines.

:tire: Thanks! :tire:

You should look at the Legends 4. It is a Keep Off 21-4 with the new carb on it. It is a great engine fast and very sooth for about $290 - $300.
