Well after talking to monty last season I bought a P5xl. Loved it I ran a JP4 pipe on it. This winter I have bought a FMS and a plus4. Was hoping monty would post pipe combos for these engines. Going to do it right this year engines and pipes.

What pipe and header combo for these engines.

P5xlt
FMS
Plus4

Also if you have any other suggestions for these engines Monty or anyone I appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!!!!

p5x : Dyn 086 w/stock header
Novarossi 9886 w/41021 header

21-7 FMS : Ofna 053 w/stock header
9853/41021 or 41005
Sirio 2013 w/stock header

21-plus 4 : Ofna 053 w/stock header
Ofna 086 w/stock header
Novarossi 9853/41005 or 41021
Novarossi 9901 w/41021
Sirio 2013 w/stock header

standard plugs - Odonnell 77, 99 or 100 (MCcoy has a few decent plugs as well but Im not familiar with their ranges)

turbo plugs - I recommend the Odonnell 97T's hands down to any other plug, that's JMO(these pipes/plugs are just what I have used/tried besides the 9901 which I am trying next, so these are just my personal preferences per Monty's recommendations, I have owned/tried all these engines besides the FMS, I had a HES tuned 21-7BT, fastest engine I Have ever seen)...........GL with your new mills!!! Keep up on your air filter system and use a good fuel with a good oil package like Byros Gen 2 30% and these engines will LAST

Is the fuel brand really gonna makes a difference in a Nova engine? I use Sidewinder its about the same as Byron or im wrong?

i am not stepping on Trevor here, but when we ran the FMS in truggy we preferred the Nova 086 with Nova long header...it seemed to run cooler, tune easier and be crisper, it was a modded engine though so that for sure can play a factor in there. in buggy i think you can run any pipe you want and it will still be too much, but if you have not tried it in a buggy it is fun LOL

Wesley, Im sure you are totally right on the 086, seems like the 053/086 work on almost all the Novas.........I never thought I would like the 086 on the plus4, but when I Was at the track with Monty and running his strr I ran plus 4 /086 and it was really good.....nice and responsive for sure..we tested a Toro Nero/086 in mp9 buggy that day too.......freaking missile

Chops! Merry Xmas big guy

I really like the plus4 and 9853/41005 Chops.........dialed in truck and buggy, smooth, controllable, good runtime and great power throughout.....seems to be perfect for me but I am trying a 9901/41021 SS with my plus4 I got sitting for buggy this spring............Im thinking its going in a mp9 TKI

I am not saying the plus 4 is not good in truck..but if you want just absolute power with around 9 minute run times there is no other choice. the only little glitch i have with it is clutching it.....it revs or spools up so fast that a heavy clutch is needed. for us if we did not have kyosho 1.1 springs....it would bog just a bit and was not as snappy. others may not have had this hickup, but just wanted to throw that out there.
