Don't think it's much of a difference really, except that you now have to buy a NOVA only replacement bearing as it's apparently patented..

Must use factory keep off bearing , there is no aftermarket bearing available

How many gallons do u have on yours? I might be thinking about getting the Lucky 7 tuned again. I heard the rear bearing costs over $100!

How does the Losi Nitrotec compare to say a P5? (I.e. is it powerful?...)

It's a fancy version of the P3XS which is a budget budget Nova engine not sold in all regions. I've seen one guy at the local track run P3 for a while, but he has now upgraded to Alpha Lutz.. so take that at face value, P5 is probably better.

It has about 5 gallons, but has seen at least 3 dusty 30 min mains plus practice on dusty track, so who knows what happened to it. Dust kills I know that

what about the 41001 header? would that work with the 2096? also, whats the difference between the 9901 and 2096 as far as performance?

Has anyone else replaced the rear bearing on the keep off yet?

Going to buy my first nova this week. Would you guys recommend I buy a bench break in service from guys like rcrenew, or HES? Probably going for the plus 21-4btta, are there any other differences other than the rear bearing from the btt? Would that be a go to engine for a buggy? Going to run a werks 2058 pipe for the time being. Thanks a lot.

Question for you Nova guys.

Mugen B4 = ?

What's it based on or closest to in the regular Novarossi line?

Head Boss?

I have a Btta from last season. Has over 7 gallons on it. I just had Monty replace the rod for the first time. I am just starting to think about sending it out for a pinch now.
A bench break it is nice, helps to reduce the amount of time needed before a race tune can be put on. Also saves a lot of frustration.
the 2058 pipe runs very well on Nova engines. Ran it on mine for a long time and was getting almost 11:30 per tank once the engine was broken in.

The 2058 falls in between the 9901 and 2096 (with 21021 header). More top then the 9901 but not as much as the 2096. Hits a little harder then the 2096 on the bottom but I think it has a lot more top end then the 9901, but not as much top end as the 2096. I can get roughly 30 seconds longer run time with the 2096 over the 2058 at Family Hobbies. I ran a lean LSN at family one time and was able to run for a little over 13 minutes on a tank to empty with the 2096 but I average just about 12 minutes with a good tune and driving right :D

Thanks for the input. Should I use the c6tgc plugs or do you guys prefer something else? Thanks. :tire:
