So, I'm looking for a 2096 pipe. Any difference between these two other than the reinforced stinger?

Yes, the one with the brace on the stinger is made from thin, butter-soft aluminum, and the one without the brace on the stinger is made from thick, solid aluminum.

The one with the brace on the stinger needs it because it's so soft that if you press your thumb on it, it will turn into a taco-shell.

In case you wonder, yes, I did make the mistake of buying the one with the brace on the stinger, thinking it was the same. But alas, they are nothing alike except for the efra number :)

Thank you sir.

Thanks a million, Aussie and Monty

Then I'll rebuild one of the nearly worn-out BTT's I got from a friend, I do break-ins for.

Got a 3 gallons (4,97mm north/south) old crank from the Plus4C Team engine with the defective head button, a new R7 rod in the pitbag and an 1 race old AVID bearings set in another engine case. The P/S has very little compression ratio but is without any scratches, so I'll send it to Raya for a resizing (haven't tried that before ) and buy a new wrist pin.

Life is good ;)

Has any one used a novarossi 51019 pipe and how do they compare to 9886 , 9901. They are not homologated and are 2 chamber. Are they just to noisy or are they no good.
Any body know ??
Cheers

Anyone got a pipe suggestion for the KEEP-OFF 7XL in a buggy. I'd really love a pipe with a good sound. :-D

What motor and pipe was Drake running to get 12 minutes plus at the nats?

From what I could see in the pits, he was running the Keep Off 4 with 9901/41021 combo. I spent a lot of time watching him run this weekend and its my belief that his throttle finger is his biggest weapon. Super silky all around the track. Rolls on the throttle instead of jabbing it. He also has that baby leaned out pretty far. His needles are buried in the housing.

Edit: He was running the Worlds edition BTT.

It does ok but BTT has a smooth powerband and reduced low-end power because it is designed to be ran in a buggy. The best .21 in the Novarossi lineup for truggy is the Bonito. If you want to run a 4-port Novarossi in your truggy get the Plus-4 C Team Edition engine. It is same internally as the BTT except it has different exhaust timing to get more torque.

I hear ya. I have two brand new btt's and I guess I can just set the truggy up to work with it. I have a 2096 and 9901, and im being told to put the 9901 on the truggy for a little more bottom end snap. I can prob experiment with clutch springs too.
