There are 2 O-rings, one is placed on the shaft of the carb (11019) and one in the crankcase (14002)

Alright here we go I'm getting into nitro guys I race electric at the moment and am looking for a good powerful buggy motor looking at the clocked p5,proto7,4btt or the bonito plus and cons of those motors in a buggy.i run small and large tracks. Not scared of some power I run my buggy with a tekin 2000kv on 5s with just a little bottom end taken down.so don't want a slug but want some what manageable.please have experience with the motor you speak of :) haha thanks

CRE P5 buggy mod is stellar. Neal's BTT runs very well also.

+1

Coming from electric will make any stock engine feel sluggish. Only cure for that is www.clockworkracingengines.com

Stock BTT is a great motor for buggy

What pipe is better/smoother for a 21-4C Team....9901 or 2096?

Both of them are good pipes for the engine. Given the same manifold; 41021, 2096 has smoother bottom end. Run time is pretty much the same for both.

houston p5

have a plus-4 41021 and 2084 on an 8igh t2.0 am looking for a new engine to either race or use as backup was thinking of p5 from houston broke in and tuned will i be good with same manifold and pipe

I THINK... the manifold is good just change the pipe ( Maybe) I have a 2096 on my H.E.S. P5 and it runs Awesome in my T 2.0. Did I say it's AWSOME in MY 8ight T 2.0? Yes I did. Just checking... LOL...:D
And yes I Now have the H.E.S. P5 in my buggy and a bonito for my truggy. I would not have a issue to put the P5 back in the truggy.

Any of you know this pipe? Is it a Novarossi pipe and in that case, whats the number? Lokks like the AXE Rossi logo... :)

EDIT: Efra 2050?

hi guys, picked up a plus 4BTT tuned with a 9901/41021 combo for my new mbx7 yesterday. this is my first nova..coming from O.S and the likes. Just wanted to make sure if these novas require some wierd voodoo breakin process i dont know about lol. someone told me they liked being broken in a very spicific way. he mentioned that he heat cycles his motors but for the first tank he tunes it VERY rich and WOT's it for a tank..but so rich that it bearly idles at WOT. that just plain sound wierd to me. i have always used the heat cycle (idle first tank, plonk it on the ground from then on, 5min at a time, cool to ambient temp, rince repeat) method roughly described in the engine or Werks threads on here for most of my motors. just want to make sure..this tthing looks nice and dont wanna mess it up if i dont know about something. but to my knowledge, running a motor overly rich is just as bad as running it too lean at breakin.
thanks

Do it your way heat cycle it much better than just forcing the piston through the liner

kgombe 01-19-2013 05:11 AM

it may take longer than the OS engines.. so take your time with it
