Hey Houston I just picked up a p5 a friend of mine let me have it has about 2 gallons now on it and it works great! it has a jp2 pipe with a nova 6 plug and to my surprize it was a standard plug. I want to no if this pipe is decent enough to run or if I should go another way? Also do I need to buy a 9$ nova plug or will my odonnell plug work as well? As I said it was free it had about half gallon on it when I got it and the drake the kind enough to tune it for me last week and ever since iv put 2 gallons on it and it runs great but I think the plugs gonna go soon so b4 it does I wanna no if od plugs r good.

Are the Nova plugs as really a problem? I just bought 6 c5t's and am worried about using them cause of all the bad hype I've read about them.

i personally had a problem with my nova plug that came in my p5xlt ..not saying all nova plugs are bad ..i just prefer to use odonells plugs ..they work great last long and cost much less ..next time you re-up give em a try

9901 vs 9853

Tell me the difference in them on a +4?

Last time out I felt my car was struggling with mid to top speed with a 9901. Please share you're views as most of the tracks i run has long straight/sweeping corners and very little jumps.

or recommend other pipes..

+1... I didn't have good luck with Novarossi plugs on my P5XS so I started using odonnell plugs and they work great. They last long and give good performance.

pickle311 02-18-2010 08:26 PM

What's the difference between the P5XS and the P5XLT?

Need help

I wonder what was wrong with my +4 motor

Well I don't know how to explain this but it like full tank lean bog problem.
but it flamed which is very bad for racing when you flamed after every pit stop.
It just happen lately. Right now I have to richen my lsn almost 3/4 of a turn to compensate which is really bad for milleage from 10 min drop to 7:30

I use OD 97T plug 25% nitro
80 degree air temp with 80+% humidity sea level
lsn is quarter of a turn out from flush (as rich as possible set without flooding the motor)
hsn is almost flush
my motor temp around 220-230 when tank empty.
