I like my 9853ss pipes the best, but I have not tried all the pipes or anything, I just know that pipe works for me.

One thing on engines. I recently had a couple flamouts and decided to get to the bottom of it. it wasn't the engines, well one time it was too lean on the bottom haha, that was me. I had small air bubbles in the fuel line. Usually I couldn't care less if bubbles were in the line, usually not an issue, but I checked the fuel lines, no holes or tears, the tank seemed fine, no unusual leaks or anything, so I sat there and thought, hmm, what about the fuel nipple on the tank. The one on the back side closest to the engine. Hmm. I've had a few loose ones pop up over the years and bingo. It wasnt really loose, just wasnt tight, so I went to put some gasket sealer on it, nope the tube dried up solid as a, well as a solid piece of rubber. Next up the jb weld, it was still good, although the cap was welded on it, and leaked out the top of the cap. what is it with JB weld and gasket maker. I can never keep it around.

Anyway I put a very small ammount of JB weld on the threads and reinstalled the nipple and hopefully it will be sealed. Just a tip i've learned over the years. the fuel nipple takes a beating :lol: and is in a spot that is hard to see and usually is the last thing checked. it never hurts to put something on it to seal it properly. It's an easy fix. I used to always do that even on a new tank, but I guess I got lazy.

EDIT: Have to ask: Where can I read in the ROAR and /or IFMAR pipe lists, that 9853 an 9886 are allowed for ROAR approved races?

9.2.4.2 A ROAR or IFMAR approved muffler or tuned pipe must be used in all ROAR sanctioned events.

Other than some JP pipes and some Asian pipes there is not much difference between EFRAs and IFMARs pipe lists.

I've been using an 053 pipe on my Plus 4 engine and it runs good but I would like to tame the bottom a bit and get more top end, is it worth trying the 086 pipe?. I run the motor on a buggy and my local track has a 200ft straightaway.

what thinking goes into choosing a pipe based on its construction for what you want out of the engine pipe combo and where can I find detail about the construction of pipes.. If find selecting a pipe based on someone elses experience being rather subjective although I consider words from Maximo and Houston to be words of wisdom from the engine gods.lol!

Is any EFRA 2032 pipe the same pipe as the crono 2032?

You might get both extra bottom and top with the 86 pipe. Thats was what I gained on my old NOSRAM (Picco) engine :tire:.

the jp-2032 is goooood , i used to have the rs competitions pipe 2032 but they are brittle ya know :cry:

the 86 pipe has a nasty powerband that can become very hard to drive but makes a crapload of rpm and midrange

I am getting a 811T truggy and need a new motor/pipe combo for it. I have a OS Speed Hara Worlds 2 that I can transfer over from my buggy but have heard really good things about Nova motors. I know runtime is dependent on a multitude of things but I would like good runtime as well. What would you guys recommend? Thanks.
