367, +4 and Toro Nero thanks

application dependant;)
need to know what you are running it in and using it for before an accurate recommendation can be made

i am sure somebody could write a book on it though ;)

Has anyone tried out these Novarossi Exhaust Reducers ?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...xhaust-Reducer

Was thinking of running one with a Novarossi Toro Nero, with the 9901 header and the 41021 pipe.
Do they acually work (as in giving you better run times ?)
Do you install them between the motor and header or between the header and the pipe?

Any information on these is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I'll be running it on a buggy, most probably 808 10 thanks

i was looking at some of the carb inserts..like TKO and the innovative designs one...is there any advantage to using them or is it just eye candy. thanks

tried those 20$ aluminum ones with the air splitter in the middle and never really noticed any difference . i tried it at like every angle even

i would suggest a plus 4 for the driveability of the engine . the 367 makes a decent buggy engine when clutched , piped , shimmed and plugged right , the toro nero makes really good power but is a little dependant on the same as the 367 engine .

whats wrong with the p5 ? ;)

Hott Modded Top P5X

Can someone give me some feed back on this motor would like to know performance and run times better for buggy or Truggy and Pipe selection

Applesauce 01-07-2010 07:52 PM

Hey Guys,

Outdoor season is comimg, I was wondering what motor/pipe combo you would recommend for buggy and what motor/pipe combo you would recommend for truggy?

Thanks for your help.

same as the p5xl ;)

5 ports are awesome running engines , great power and respond very well to tuning . :D

tuning = pipe, plug , clutch , gearing and then the carburetor

the hotmods mods are excellent mods that dont really effect the tunability of the engine but gain in power and runtime , definitely worth it:nod:

Thanks Houston!! would this be better for a truggy or buggy and power comparable to ninja B01A never had a nova need some help.

actually its hard to compare the two as the ninja bo1a was just a different feel . i have driven a few guys' cars with those engines in them and they were very good .

5 port is more of a fast workhorse of an engine and is very tuneable as i stated earlier .

Anyone tried them before?
Or Know which order they are installed?

PowerHouse 01-08-2010 06:24 AM

I have been working with them the last couple of months and they work well. They have 3 different lengths available which will extend the header length by 13.5mm, 16.5mm and 19mm. The length difference between the 41021 and 20 is about 12.5mm to give you an idea of what lenghts you may want to try. I am also working maching new ones in lengths of 6,8 and 10mm to give us middle ground lengths to tune with. If you put the 16.5 and 19mm length's with the 21 header, the header acts too long and only has low end performance and falls flat in the midrange so if you are looking for a tractor pulling setup, there you go. The longer lengths will work better with really short headers and that is why I want to make middle of road lengths for those who want more than the 21 in torque but not quite what the 20 has for torque and loss of rpm. I will be working on those very soon so stay tuned;)

Are you talking about the exhaust reducer? Or the extender?

Those are two different things. Exhaust reducers really restrict flows of exhaust pulse that actually works fairly well with engines that suffer from less low rpm torque. This is why the reducer came with the 367 engine . We were told to try it on the exhaust output of the engine and it did exactly what it was supposed to do . It might just work wonders on the toro also , the toro nero is a great engine when properly tuned and reshimmed to .70mm .

Hi Houston. What pipe, plug and shimming would you recommend for the 367? Thanks

Thanks for the reply,
I was refering to the reducer, Is it still recomended to use carb restricters like 7mm when using this exhaust reducer, or do you use the maximum size you can like 9mm.

Thanks again.
