Post BEST .21 Nitro engine for buggy and pipe

Hey! I am wondering what the best .21 engine for racing my RC8B would be. My price limit is about 350-375 including pipe and header. I will buy from any company. Thanks

V-spec with 2050 or 2060 pipe. You wont be let down. Great reliability, power, runtimes, and smoothness. Change the rod and rear bearing at about 2 gallons then drive it for about 8 gallons trouble free. I am on my 4th that I have done that with OS makes a GREAT engine. Speed is nice but the price is high, but if you would shell out a little more the ninja is also great and add an re-10 would be about 400.

Not enough info given.

Track size, grip, main lengths 30min? 15 min? 1 hr?, powerband wanted? There is no perfect racing engine. Only perfect engines for certain track conditions.

Best overall, Smooth power, Good fuel economy:
Novarossi +4, OS $peed, RB Buggy 9

Bigger track, less bottom end, more top:
RB WS9, Novarossi Toro Nero

Well rounded middle range:
RB hobby 9

Budget, smaller club racing:
Novarossi N21b, RB Junior 9

Mother of all that is evil Powerhouses:
Novarossi FMS, Clockworks Modded Picco

jammin JPX.21 with 086 pipe. really strong motor. tons of low end grunt and tons of top speed. $240 or so and the pipe is like 50 bucks. they'll last 9-12 gallons if take good car of it and with ceramic bearings.

then you'll what the Toro Nero, i have experimented with different pipe/header combo's and so far the Go 2072 pipe/header is the best, it has great bottom with insane mid to top

Default Nova

I recommend the Novarossi p5xl standard plug. It has plenty of torque to get over the jumps and is easy to tune and will not flame out. The 9853 superstrong novarossi pipe with the short round header would be perfect. The plus 4 sounds great, just haven't used one.

+3 on werks b5 and a 2035. I would also consider the nova +4 or an os vspec and jp3. Personally I like os engines because they are so easy to tune and will run well even if they are a little lean. I don't know about the life exp of the b5 but I would say the nova will last the longest and I do know that vspecs don't last as long ad other engines. Personally I like to run os speed engines. Ya they cost a little more but you do get what you pay for.
