That's the stock air box that came with the kit.

How much fuel do you have through it so far?

The motor saver makes the engine breath.

You should be already at the race tune and letting it rip.

I really like the arrow GTR .21. Pretty much a base copy of a vspec as far as bore/stroke and rod length goes.... But they are not exactly the same engine as a Vspec as the timing profile of the engine isn't exactly the same. They do carry a lot of similar characteristics such as being a very smooth engine and good one fuel like the old Vspecs, Speeds and JX engines which has a lot to do with the bore/stroke rod length combo.

Default TZ-18 Questions

Adam:

What header/pipe do you get the most power out of for your drag modified TZ-18 engines? Also, what are your thoughts about that particular engine for drag racing to 150 ft, and what kind of power are you getting out of it in drag modified trim? Thanks.

I'm about a gallon and just short of a quart into this engine with the 086 pipe. I've tuned it to about 1 -1/4 turns out on the HSN. Haven't touched the LSN yet because she takes off without bogging and almost no hesitation.

However, I am dealing with the high idle that won't idle down until after about 60 seconds. The engine has never seen over 250-255F and it's driving me nuts.. Any tips on what I can do to calm the idle sooner. This is always after a wide open run.

The wide open runs aren't too long because I'm still taking it a bit easy on it until the nuts drop..

Sounds like your ready to reduce your idle gap. That should get you sorted out.

When you have an engine with a tight pinch at times you will see a slow drop on the idle once she frees up she will drop down quick. As stated check your idle gap and low end needle but my CRE bonitos do the same cause shes so friggin tight-its not a bad thing just means your engines will last with a good seal

Default Killer OS 25

Adam this engine is just straight killer and with a 13:30 run time. The power is instantanious and awesome. I used to run my os 25 mod from last year paired with the 086 but the OS 2060 is the match for this engine. I do not know what you have done but this thing is insane! Your R&D on this engine is top of the line.
