have the b5 pro mounted in the 8t 2.0 chassis and does it ever look sweet. cant wait to heat and pre-treat with a bit of aro and get this pup broken in.....already have two great running b5's(one modded with tko ceramics) and this will just add to the stable

Today at the races after every qualifier, my B5 came off the track every time at about 290. It was the first time I had run the B5 with the 2013 pipe in a truggy. I ran it in a buggy before and never got above 220. I have about a gallon and a half on the motor. I ran a D8T with fresh bearings and brand spanking new drivetrain all around this weekend. I just don't know why it was running so hot. There was plenty of smoke coming out of the pipe and she was running strong. The idle was really low, nothing drastic. Enough to keep it idling. Any ideas?
It ran like a charm through the full 20 minutes of the A-main, enough to take the win ;)

Thanks
Eddy

I am on my 4th tank of breakin and it's having a problem idleing on it's own. The gap is set at .7mm and the HS is still flush and the LSN is barely in. Am I too rich still and it's flooding out.

It sounds like your still very rich on the bottom. I would open your idle gap a little and lean the bottom. You want to run it on the rich side for a while longer before you lean it to much.

Thanks, I ended up making it to 1.0mm gap and it worked a lot better. Until breakin is over, a large gap is normal to run with.

Thanks Neal, I've tried and tried to get those bearings out of my old B5 and it will not come out, so I'm just gonna buy the tool to make it a lot easier. Now if I can just find one.
