Hi Ron,
No I wouldn't describe is as the normal compression sound engines make when being kicked over (I've got years of experience with trailbikes). Its a metal clunking sound which is what concerned me. I will pull the backplate off tonight and inspect the crank / shaft / piston and gudgeon pin etc thanks |
Also good news for all of you that have been waiting on 2013's, 2058's, 2057's or other stuff! We just sent out a LOT of stuff to all of the mail orders and distributors today! So pipes and everything should be back in stock at A-main and others either tomorrow or in the next few days at the latest!

I was thinking the same thing the other day! But after 430+ pages and over 6k posts I'm not sure how much more people have left to talk about lol! So let me start with something that has not been discused. For all of you currently running the B5 how do you think we can make it better?
|
Haven't got to run mine yet.
But maybe have some pipe engine combos? |

18 minute runtimes and possibly new powder coating on the cooling head...but then again, I shouldn't be upside down to wear it off :D
|
Team edition would be sweet;)
|
Lol, 18 minutes of run time, that would be quite the challenge! The anodizing on the head is a valid comment to look into. Nit sure about the engines/pipe combos that was mentioned. I think that most people like the low cost to purchase the engine and the ability to choose whatever pipe they want to run separately. I'll give some of the stuff a thought though, keep it coming!

I agree on the team edition, different coating on the head and most of all include 6mm 6.5mm inserts. I think if you offered this in the "team edition" for 75-100 more people would feel like they got it for a steal. Maybe make a limited run of them say like 500 and mark each with their serial number. Just ideas honestly the motors a beast and outstanding out of the box!

I wouldn't change a thing either Ron. These engines have set the bar for this decade IMO. You get a high quality, long lasting, power making engine for half the price others charge.
I think the bearings in these engines are the best you can get in a stock engine. Sure ceramics would be cool to say, but I just don't see that offering any performance increase over what is in there now. The most attractive thing about the Werks engines is the support. Anyone can ask a question just in this forum alone, and within a day or two get an answer from the man himself, that is saying a lot. |
After much research and feedback we will be stocking Werks B5, B6 and pipes.
A fantastic engine line and company.:tire: |
