Yep, I've been talking to the guys for a bit and I really like what they are doing with that event and how they focus on the sportsman racers. So..I jumped on board! First 100 paid sportsman entries will be getting a gallon of 30% Werks "Race Blend" fuel for free! We are also doing some more neat stuff with them but you are going to have to stay tuned for that;)

That's good news your one of the sponsor of the PND!

Also I don't know if this would be a good idea for you but some of the pro drivers are leaving novarossi engine like Martin Bayer and maybe yannick aigoin... I think it will be crazy to see one of them rung werks engine.

Ron awesome to hear you are sponsoring the PNB. Does that mean you will be attending? I will be there, and if my memory serves me right Battaile and Slayden will be too. Might have to bring Keith Stone too. (LOL, KEY)

Yes I'm going to try and make it up there!

Yep, as mentioned I like what the guys doing the PND stand for. I think that way too much attention is being placed on what the Pro's are doing and the sportsman drivers are all but forgotten about, which is not good. They seem to strive to make a fair, even playing field for all of the guys to come out and have a good time at a well run and fun racing event. Something I think this industry needs more of!

Regarding the Pro drives I've been watching what has been happening the last few days with interest also. I do however think that a lot of this has to do with some political and/or personnel changes within Novarossi and/or their representatives. Either way though I'm honestly happy with the program that we have and the people that I'm currently working with. Me and Kortz have worked together for a long time and us going as a 1 driver team to the Worlds and making the finals let alone taking 6th certainly shows that we are doing something right ;)

100% agree !!!!   The non-pros are the backbone of this hobby. I'm from the great lakes area and attend the R/C X-Fest every labor day weekend. Some of the top Pros show up, they put on a great show too. But the sportsman classes are also hotly contested. It's laid back, everyone helps each other, and GREAT FUN is had by all. The hobby DOES need more focus on the sportsman.

I would HIGHLY recommend you get the B6 for THE CAR. I run for Ron and decided to go against his expertise and try a B5 in buggy, and to be honest it was INSANE! The B5 MIGHT work on a HUGE crazy blue groove track, but not likely. Its just far too much for a buggy, unless you plan on putting the 2057 pipe on it. Trust us when we say B6 and 2013, clutch with the new Werks clutch with the medium/stiff setup and you will be dialed!

We are building my son a new car for next season. I plan to keep the "old" buggy as a practice car and for me to use for fun and maybe in the old and slow class...The new buggy will get the B6..Question, to get the power smoothed out in the B5, so its similar to the B6 is it recommended to use the 2057 or 2058?

Definitely the 2057 will give you the smoothest, most linear power band. The 2058 will actually make more HP and Torque than it. So from a bottom/punch standpoint from most to least it will go 2013---->2058---->2057. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much to Ron and Werks Racing for supporting me in the 2011 season!! Another great reason for me running Werks engines and pipes because of there support even tho I'm not a "PRO" I'm so stoked about the 2011 racing season!!

The 2057 will work just fine like Ron said, You also can use a steel flywheel, adjust the speed in the radio to 40 - 45% that way you will put the TQ in the ground. Just food for tought. I use 2013 in my buggy, steel flywheel, and adjust the TH expo to 45%, very minimum tyres slip, I have the TQ when I need it and the best sound in the track. I can't ask for more.lol

Thanks Guy's,I guess the B5 just became the new engine for my 8t 2.0;) I have a P5 in it right now, but a bit more power is what that truck needs and this should be the anwser!!

I'll put the P5 in The Car,it seem to have a mild power band too easy to drive with a truggy.I guess the 2013 pipe whould be the way to fly useing the B5 in a truggy? I've been driving a brushless missle for the last year, and drove a friends B5 equiped mbx6 buggy and it felt tame? Not sure if he had numbed it up a bit,but damn it was great to drive something and not have to keep my twichy trigger finger in check:p

Yep go with either the 2013 for most power or the 2058 for sightly softer bottom and a little better run time.

I have been reading this thread for Quite some time now and after seeing the B5 in action and reading the arrow engine forum I'll more than likely be ordering my werks engine soon not sure if it will be a 5 6 or7 yet.

Thanks! I'm just a straight shooter about things which honestly does not always make me the most popular person on this site lol but I try to tell it like I see it and give my honest opinion on things.
