It's possible but I think that in general most of us have found that the JP series of pipes is not really the best performer with these engines.

Also regarding your P/S question, the B7 p/s will not work in the B5 engine.

Ron

Do you think it is worth rebuilding the b5 because a guy at the track had an OS v-spec that he rebuilt and he ended up the p/s.Still didnt work so he bought a new crankshaft, then a new rod.At the end it turns out that it was the case that had a tiny crack on the bottom .He ended up spending more than it would of costrto buy a new one

Thanks again! to both of you

Bevo,

Thanks again for letting me get some practice in on your RC8 last night, I'm stoked about my RC8T getting here in the next couple days. I was really hoping to get a B5 to put in it soon but it looks like its gonna be at least September before that happens according to the posts I've read.... Also

Ron,

As I'm just getting back into R/C and I've seen one of your motors in action, as mentioned above, you are sure to get my business! I've never seen such great costumer service or R&D (thru forums) as you have shown me tonight in any business... PERIOD! I hate to beat the pipe discussion into the ground anymore but just from the "sound" of how it "sounds" I'm sold on the 2013! :D

The B6 took the win in the expert class this weekend at Revelation Raceway with Andrew Smolnik at the wheel.

I took the win with the B5 in the amateur class by a lap over the field.

A win win for Werks engines this weekend.

That's really up to an individuals choice. If a p/l needs to be replaced it is certainly cheaper than buying a whole new engine. If the owner does not know what is wrong and just starts replacing all of the parts in the engine one by one then it is definitely going to be cheaper just buying a new engine lol! If you are concerned about running into a situation like the guy at the track that you mentioned, my suggestion would simply be that if you are going to replace a part, make sure that it is the one that actually needs to be replaced lol!

Not a problem I'm just doing what all of us companies should be, supporting out customers.

Cool, congrats! I did not think that Smolnik would be racing with it yet, I just sent it over to him to test about a week ago!

how long does the crankshaft and case usually last

The case is not a wear item and will normally last basically forever. The crankshaft should be good for around the life of 3 p/s sets so 25-30 gallons. In a nutshell you will probably be buying another engine before you get around to replacing either of them!

Will the B6 P/S(when available) drop into the B5?
