be careful running P3's... you run a risk of breaking the element and sending it through the engine if you run out of fuel, I would stick with P4's.

That's good stuff Noddy2.
I have tried almost all the pipes and glow plugs on that list you made. My favorites are a OS P4 Plug with a Reckward 2041 pipe. As far as tuning it is going to vary by fuel, clutch choices, and air density that people are running and the way the weather is on a certain day. |

So where does this leave me?
Ed,
With all the recent changes with the JS engine line over the last month, I wonder where this leaves me. I have been waiting patiently for some news, while your were trying to locate an engine from a dealer and have not heard a word. Will I ever receive a replacement engine from you? |

I replaced your engine, that's why you were told by JOE ALESSI over 3 months ago that he had your replacement engine. Joe then sold your engine not telling me or you, nor did Joe pay me for that engine. So now I'm stuck in the middle. |

Chris, here is the email for the factory [email protected] I'm sure they will send you a replacement just as they did for Tony Newland when his engine blew the clip out with 3.5 gallons on it, yours had less than a gallon.
Ryan if I had an engine I would send him another one licky split.... I think Joe should be held liable for his actions as well don't you? The factory owes me money for all the engines I returned to them, so far I have replaced close to $20,000 out of my pocket on factory defective engines. |
sure Joe should be held liable 100% but you being the distributer and team owner for the eb mods team should take care of your customers good or bad it sucks but thats is just the way it is.

Hello Khaliffen, please check your end points to verify the slide is not over-traveling past the carburetor body opening. You don't want the slide to travel past this point at wide open throttle. If the slide over travels it will shake inside the carburetor body and bind. If this doesn't solve your problem please let me know.
I have checked my end points several times and the slide does not over travel, nor did it on my old JS engine, where I had the same problem. So unfortunately your proposal does not solve my problem |
I have 3 JS Racing engines for sale if anyone is interested.
JS Racing 23 Race Prep Hellfire engine: New in the box sealed in plastic $ 175 JS Racing 21 Engine new in box: $170 w/ Dynamite 086 pipe JS Racing 21 Engine new in box: $170 w/ Dynamite 086 pipe $300 for both 21 engines and 2 pipe combos. |

So unfortunately your proposal does not solve my problem [email protected] If this is the problem it usally happens when adjusting the idle screw in the clockwise direction, the screw hits the slide which has spring tension from the throttle arm. It's good practice to always open the throttle when adjusting the idle screw. When you are inspecting the slide also look at the inside carburetor body to see if the slide is being pulled straight. The inside surface will have wear marks from the slide which should be centered. |

Please check the piston skirt isn't broke on the exhaust port side. On some engines at TDC the piston skirt travels past the bottom of the port and will catch on the down-stroke and break.
See link below: Sorry Bruce no engines or pipes in-stock. Try Absolute Hobbyz or A Main Hobbies. |
I have 2 questions.
1. Is the 9901 Nova pipe comparable to the 2041 in performance and mpg? 2. On the race prep JS do I need to run more break-in tanks through it or is it pretty much ready for race tune right away? |

ETA around Christmas / New Year we should have production started on the new .21 engine. Team Drivers and Hobby Shops will have samples to test in Mid-October. This engine will be completly made in the USA, with some of the parts machined in-house at EBMods and other parts out sourced to machine shops.
As we get closer to testing I will have updates and more info about the engine. |
My JS .21 is up on the for sale section. Broke in motor and ran 2 tanks. Only $95 for a quick sale. 7.5 venturi. It rips! Only selling because it just bought two os speeds on a hookup. Ebmods make awesome motors!
