Hello Khaliffen, please check your end points to verify the slide is not over-traveling past the carburetor body opening. You don't want the slide to travel past this point at wide open throttle. If the slide over travels it will shake inside the carburetor body and bind. If this doesn't solve your problem please let me know.

Thank you for the reply.

I have checked my end points several times and the slide does not over travel, nor did it on my old JS engine, where I had the same problem. So unfortunately your proposal does not solve my problem

Your slide may have a burr on the idle screw groove. You will need to remove the slide and check for burrs. Check the inside of the carburetor body as well. If this isn't the problem then maybe contact the factory direct at:
[email protected]

If this is the problem it usally happens when adjusting the idle screw in the clockwise direction, the screw hits the slide which has spring tension from the throttle arm. It's good practice to always open the throttle when adjusting the idle screw.

When you are inspecting the slide also look at the inside carburetor body to see if the slide is being pulled straight. The inside surface will have wear marks from the slide which should be centered.

Please check the piston skirt isn't broke on the exhaust port side. On some engines at TDC the piston skirt travels past the bottom of the port and will catch on the down-stroke and break.

Sorry Bruce no engines or pipes in-stock. Try Absolute Hobbyz or A Main Hobbies.

ETA around Christmas / New Year we should have production started on the new .21 engine. Team Drivers and Hobby Shops will have samples to test in Mid-October. This engine will be completly made in the USA, with some of the parts machined in-house at EBMods and other parts out sourced to machine shops.

As we get closer to testing I will have updates and more info about the engine.

EBMods 07-16-2011 12:03 PM

Oh and I have to say I'm VERY excited about this,,, I wish we could speed the process up but small steps first, with lots of testing. It's an amazing feeling everytime we finish a part!!!!!!
