Maybe there is still hope for sirio in australia but it will be definately an uphill battle thats for sure. Wouldnt have been so bad if it was only 1 line of engines but the whole sirio line has issues from 12. onroads to .21 offroad and .30 big block monster engines all has issues.

One thing for sure, they need someone on the offical sirio forum to answer question and comments....its getting pretty crazy in there.

yes kelletts/ace have got the agency not dawn.atm they dont have any stock so there will be a short downtime period.
they have also ordered the new sirio .12 sti engines which are supposedly better than the evo3!!

and the crank issue with the 12's evo3 has been fixed as i am currently running an evo3 with the new crank and its been through 6 litres already!!

EVO 3 Crank issues
 

Okay I've gone through two cranks on two separate EVO 3's, both had around 15 tanks of fuel through them. I'm not an inexperienced racer. People are saying that the EVO 3's no longer have crank problems? Has Sirio changed the EVO 3 cranks? If so what is different? Both of mine broke at the intake tunnel in the very same spot. The metal here is very thin, and the cranks I've seen are very hard so there is no flex underload whatsoever. Coupled with the thin tunnel everyone who has run them is breaking them in the same spot. The engine itself is an awesome engine, but have they increased the amount of metal here? Trying to get an answer from Sirio is almost impossible, and I'm very curious as to the differences between the new STI that is to replace the EVO 3. Anybody have the scoop??

Yes the newer revision of the crank is thicker around the intake tunnel. The problem you are expiriencing is what the old crank was renowned for.

yes i have had 2 cranks break on me but the new crank is a lot thicker around the walls of the intake.
supposedly the new sti has more hp then the evo 3

That problem was fixed on the new STI line, I'm not sure what they did, but I know that they fixed it. Make sure that the engine mount is not touching the case of the engine, that will cause escessive vibration and will break the crank.
New STI line is the same EVO3 but has more work done on it, it is the motor that they use to call "team motor", now it is available to the public.

I'm hoping that they have fixed it. They say Kyosho America is bringing in Sirio's but as of yet I haven't seen anything yet. Any of you guys know where to but the "new" replacement cranks? I don't want to be buying the old stuff that's still around.

engine mount in contact with the 2 "tabs" on both sides of the engine.
should not be in contact with the crank case.

if i have 2 cranks breaking on me, the engine is as good as a paperweight.

there are far too many choices out there to stick with a specific model or brand especially one which has given you grievances.

the sirio has amazing top end...i just don't think anything else compares

For the price Sirio is hard to beat. The Novas are just as fast but cost more. I've had 3 Sirios (1 Evo2 WCE and 2 Evo 3) now and haven't had any problems.

New motors should be in the US before this month ends.

If you use a one piece engine mount, make sure that the screws on the back plate (the ones in the bottom) don't touch the engine mount. :)
