What to expect? A hell of break-in... :D take your time to break-in don't rush it and when finished, prepare to tear-up the track.

my sti is just fully run in and its a quick engine, plenty of power all thru the range and make sure you stock up on tyres as this motor likes to chew them up and spit them out ;) :D

How many turns out on the high speed needle to start break-in??? Is 3 a good starting point??

2 1/2 - 3 is a great starting point.

Yea, we have a Regional race in October, and I want to have it broken in fo that race. I don't have another Evo, but my TZ 5 port should do.

Depends on the fuel rules. Normally we are only allowed 16% but for other races we can use any %. But I wouldn't go any higher than 30%. You would also have to add a 0.1 shim if using anything more than 25%.

wallyedmonds 07-11-2006 07:10 PM

on a big track do most ppl run 16% or 20% and do you add a shim all the time.
