If your engine has a std. head go with Nova C7S or C8S plugs.
If your engine has a turbo head go with Nova C7TGF or C8TGF.
as for a good pipe, check this site and pick the pipe that suits your need. http://www.rbproducts.com/rbww/engines2.5/indexrb15.htm

Hope this helps

S21-PR Pro

Hi,

Anybody runnning the new version of the S21-PR Pro? It has a BLUE cooling head.

I'm thinking of getting one of these engine but I've heard there were problems with the carbs?

How would this engine rate against a Novarossi R1-WC?

Any info. appriciated.

All the best

Kevin

Bruckner hobbies screws me again...

Well, looks like my wait for my replacement engine will take longer than I thought. I was told that my new engine would be shipped out today by express mail so that it would reach me on Saturday. Now I found out that the person I spoke to, and apparently the ONLY person they have there that is capable of shipping anything, wont even be in until next Monday!:flaming:

So I guess I will have to wait till Monday and hope that this guy didn't forget that he has any other days off! This was my first order from them.....probably will be my last. First I get the wrong engine.....now this.....<sighing>...

Hopefully I will get my new engine sometime! :flaming:

No good Darkseid, It really annoys you when things get mucked up but I guess "it happens".. :(

Just a note re: my problem with sirio .12, while I wait for the novarossi plugs.. I found this on the nitroreview site under a pico .26 review. Looks like the same problem I have with my sirio.

"nice engine had problem with it loading up with fuel, i later found it was my glo plug i was using too short of a plug. great power. "

So things are looking good :) :) :)

ˇˇˇYEAH I DID IT!!!

Today I went to the track to finish the tune-up and testing on my SIRIO S12 TRP EVO 2 non-turbo......and I ended up breaking the track record....yessssss!!!!!.

Well I wanted to share this experience with all the SIRIO fans, and tell you what it took to do it.

We are in summer right now, and today was about 27°C air temp, with 80% humidity

First: I set up my compresion ratio to have a total chamber of .50mm.

Second: Sirio Carb HSN 5.75 turns out, LSN 2.5 turns out.

Third: used a Nova C6SG glow plug.

Fourth: 1 tooth shorter first and second gear. This engine has it's power band at a higher point than your typical Novas.

Fifth: after trying Sirios own pipe, RB X12 outlaw, Yokomo MMielke, and NovaMega's 2182 TPO3, with this last one, set at 95mm, heaven and hell broke, the engine just started to put tremendous amount of power on low, mid and high end....and the track record fell.....Yes, Yessss!!!!

Now I know what a well tuned SIRIO can do, it's just F%&%%$$S

By the way I have a Yokomo GT4 Pro with some personal mods.

Bearing sizes

Sorry to butt in and change the subject but I have a few questions. I just got a Sirio .12 TRP Pro. It has a blue head I thought they were supposed to be black. Is this last years model or something? Also What should i do with the silver insert in the carb? Ok now for the real Question. What size are the 2 bearing in the crankcase? I'm planning on replacing them with ceramic ones.
Thanx

The Blue head is the new engine, the front bearing is 7x17x5mm the rear is an odd size 11.2x21.2x4.8mm.:D

Ok i was posting at a friends house. Now the new engine has a blue head? I will tell you what it says on the side of the box and you tell me if it is right.
S12-TRP PRO
3 ports AAC - SG Shaft
Slide Carb.
It is a Turbo engine
I thought the new TRP Pro was a 5port outlaw w/Black Head

If the carby looks like this it is an EVO2 engine.

no the engine and carb look like this. Also if i call boca Bearings you think they could make me a custom to fit my engine?

tl2111 01-04-2004 05:11 PM

old and new sirio

Look at the p/n if it is trp-I or trp-e is new EVO2

if it is just trp and trp pro then its old unit

also
TRP-I = ifmar version
TRP-E = EFRA version

pro stand for AAC also with the blue head

pacman: that is 2 adjustment carby comes with ABC

SirioInside: 3 adjustment carby comes with AAC

SirioInside 01-04-2004 05:13 PM

Ok thanx for all the help. Also should i leave the silver insert in the carb? It seems to be a director rather than a restrictor but i could be wrong.

thats is a 5.5mm restrictor, change it as you wish if you want more power go for 6mm

SirioInside 01-04-2004 05:38 PM

I am kinda low on cash right now. Could i just drill the hole to 6mm on the restrictor.

tl2111
