No wonder... It's a fix lense. No tele or wide on it. Yes, I think it is a 1 Megapixel digicam but that should be enough for web and forum postings. From what I'm reading, the normal focusing range for that camera is about 60 cm.

Default Sirio S12TUP ? port Turbo SG Shaft Engine

Does the Sirio S12TUP Turbo SG engines come in both 3 and 5 ports? Trinity website shows only 5 ports, but an overseas shop said he has one with 3. Any help would be appreciated

The Trinity site is outdated and poorly maintained. There is a 3 port version. you can find it at www.speedtechrc.com

Sirio TUP 3 ports is old early Sirio. The new TUP's are only 5 port.
New Sirio 3 ports are S12 TRP EVO2 I(IFMAR) or E (EFRA)
and the recently S12 WCR (World Cup Replica).

Thanks for clarifying that one. Is it still a competitive engine? Any comments about it would help as I found one $130.00 NIB

Default S12-TUP questions...

hi guys! i'm thinking of getting another engine for my 1/10, the Sirio S12-TUP in particular. But i heard that there are actually 2 versions, one is the standard 5 port while the other one is a 5 port factory modified (or something like that!) both have the same part numbers. Btw, they are priced at S$295 & S$380 respectively. can anyone confirm?

hi afm.. thanks for the fast reply! the label outside the box says ''Sirio S12-TUP Sirio Engine 2.1cc 5 Ports ABC Slide Carb. SG Shaft''.. that's for both the standard 5 port and the 5 port factory modified.. I saw it at Hobbybug (www.hobbybug.com) this evening.. the shop owner said it's not in their website yet..

Current Sirio engines are:

3 ports Slide carb SG crank:

S12 WCR World Cup Replica
S12 TRP E EFRA specs
S12 TRP I IFMAR-ROAR specs
S12 TSP Econo Model

3 ports rotary carb SG crank:

S12 TRR E EFRA specs
S12 TRR I IFMAR specs

5 ports Slide carb SG crank:

S12 TUP 5 ports

Don't know of any factory modified Sirio 5 ports, maybe it's modified by somebody else. BEWARE.
The only Sirio based engines that I now as factory modified are the Lamberto Collari engines, modified by his father Mauro Collari.
that are sold by www.werksracing.com and as i speak they only had the regular Collaris 3 and 5 port, but were going to import the Mauro Collari modidfied versions.

so whats the key to getting the best performance out of the new sirios, i have the 3p version. i race another guy with an older sirio and it screams, mine is not too shabby but i can tell that its can be faster. i think i run it too rich over all but it gets very hot sometimes i dont want to toast my motor, be ther done that, ot fun. he has a aftermarktet head on his and it is running way cooler than mine but thats not the whole fix im sure.

How hot.
Sirios like to work at their best around 250ºF, but also you must have your car properly geared. If you have it to long geared in a short track, engine will heat up and vicecersa.
Standard cooling head from the EVO2 is enough.
