I have some ideas that i would like to test out but then i would need the milled pistons:-( And it is kind of a dog to get the X3 P/S and a +4 P/S just to find out that the piston is to small.

The pistons are roughly the same size , they make alot of them at once then match p/s sets by a given tolerance for a good compression seal when p/s are lapped in properly

The team piston is definitely tougher but when taken care of properly both cast and machined pistons from novarossi will last a long time

I know, Monty :-)

It is no problem to get the cast piston to hold up for a very long time, and it is a good component in the engines.

Problem is that the materiel in the pistons are not the same. The team pistons are harder and what i would test need the harder material, or i screw it up .-))

those are the same engines you did for the WC, still running strong

season is 8 races long, ill try my best to keep the title for a 2nd year!!!

heres is a photo of the top 3 (Mohammed is the guy with the Tebo look alike MP9

Gotta love new nova engines. They just look so sexy!

Seattlelife22 11-19-2011 12:16 PM

I just switched from Os to Nova and let me tell you Houston has made it a great experience. His customer service is top notch. I have a few buddies that turned me on to his service. It is alot more than what i expected, above and beyond.
Cant wait to get the motors and pipes. I will let you know how it goes. Keep up the great work Houston. A+++++ in my book.

Thanks guys , you rock!

Awesome Ali!

Keep me posted brotha

Seattlelife22 11-19-2011 01:58 PM

okay real quick....I only run byrons...
With nova engines it says 25% nitro fuel. The hobbyshop carrys 30%. Does the nova perform alot better on 25%? If it is a huge difference than i will buy 25%.

Use byrons race3000 for break in gallon then you can switch to byrons pro driver

Break in goes a little quicker if you order the bench break in ;)

Fusion X3 "Full Monty" edition.

Finished up the break in on the engine today. Was a very easy break in and no major hiccups.

So far I am very impressed with how smooth this engine is. The power band is smooth all the way up and it has more bottom end then I expected. Was running it with a M2C clutch with all weights and .90 springs and medium aluminum shoes. I was also running with a Werks 2058 pipe.

The midrange and top end are solid, though not as wild as some of my other modified engines. Haven't timed a tank yet but I have a feeling it will easily be over 10 minutes:nod:

I plan on shooting some video of the engine this week to give everyone a better idea of how this engine performs.

Cool , hope you can find a home for it in your engine arsenal

Thanks a bunch,
