I highly doubt it will replace the plus 4 as my favorite buggy engine but ya just never know

Hey Monty what pipe and header are you running on your 21 4. I was wondering if i was running the best combo with the 9901 and 41021 on the 21 4 you did some work on for me

I run the 9901ss with 41021 most of the time, sometimes 41005 if track conditions are really loose and the extra torque can get you into trouble ;)

I know we go round and round about the 9901 vs 9853, but we do agree on the short round header....

I do want to admit that I helped a new guy out and put the 9901 on a plus-4 with the short nova-mugen header in a Durango. It fit perfect, and made plenty of torque and overall power, so once again, Your right....it was a nice setup....

I do still like the p5 with the 9853, but they are really similar to the plus-4 with the 9901....the plus-4 is a bit smoother, but ran awesome and cleared the tough sections better than I expected....

In the Mugen Mbx-6 the 9901 is a tight fit, so the 9853 is a better choice. But in the Durango it fit really nice. The tight header helped a lot...

Once again thanks for the tips....

I need my merdith decoder? Lol

I do agree the larger diameter pipes are a tight squeeze on the mbx6 but it is worth it

9853ss/41021 is a handful in buggy :D 41001 or 41005 is better in the buggy

Shes running like a champ i can not get over the run times i am getting. A friend of mine got me to try the new OD fuel and with a little re-tuning i am creeping up on the 14 1/2 min.. We are still running indoor right now i am excited to get that motor on some outdoor tracks to watch her scream. Thanks again for your service!

Hi Houston, what are this differences between the x3 and the nova .21r limited.......performance? and build? Does it have higher quality bearings?

And do you have the x3 stock?

Thanks!

I have plenty of x3
The new x3 has the new carb and it has the 8 port block which makes a big difference in the amount of rpm the engine has and the carb gives increased mileage

For only 145$ its a very good deal ;)
