Thats awesome. I'll have to try the 9901 pipe again to see if I can get a little more run time. I have been running the 086hs and am usually dry about 8 1/2 minutes.

FMS

Monty, the FMS has about 1 3/4 thru it now, today went to the track,it's really starting to come in, this thing rips!! I put on a 7.5mm velocity stack venturi on it... it's almost impossible to drive in a straight line if you just nail the throttle, if your ft wheels ain't straight the ass end is coming around
This is really a great engine, thanks.

Awesome to hear , as with most all novarossi engines , don't expect any miracles for at least a gallon ;)

How much run time could one expect on a P-5. Stock and Mod.

Never mind. I just looked at the previous page and found my answer.

the p5 is an awesome engine

We have another +4 owner among our ranks. There is three of us using the +4's now. I'm also using the FMS and a friend of mine might be trying out the P5 in one of his vehicles. Go Nova

Hey Monty, my engine guy says I should get the wrist pin and clips to go with my new con rod. I can't find them on your site. Any ideas? Thanks

p5xlt or fms?

Great thread!
I've been reading your posts and I'm interested in a purchase. I'm trying to decide which of the captioned engines to get, p5 or fms? I'm going to use in in my truggy (8t 2.0) on a medium to long track.

I've heard great things about the p5 and it's definitely more attractive price wise. However, I want to win races and I heard the fms is a beast. Which is better?

Any feedback would be great!
Thanks

ohiofordfan 10-11-2010 02:12 PM

That's great Monty. I have about 1 more race and then he will put the rod in. That will be six gallons in the best motor I ever had. I expect alot more great gallons out of it.
It's funny that you asked me that because I've been thinking about a backup. Then the post right before me says it all. Fms or p5? I'm leaning more to the fms just because it's a beast. I have never seen a p5 run here locally. I can say the plus 4 rips in my truggy. Maybe a Houston tuned fms? Thanks again for the help.

If you're going to replace your front bearing in pretty much any engine you would be silly to use anything other than novarossi 17011 bfront bearing

Ahh dang. I liked this thread in the off-road area. LOL. Oh well.
