I'm running the 9901SS and 41021 w/ an ODO 97T plug. Live in FL so substantial humidity. Any way, just wanna be close. Thanks. My "go to" settings when the s*** hits the fan are about flush on bottom and 1/4 turn in from flush on top. BUT, I'm just getting the +4C broken in and haven't really established a base setting.

i havent really done too much testing with rb pipes but i am sure they will be good performers as they are designed for novarossilike engines ;)

Odonnell 77t or 97t will work great , the 99t will be a little hard to tune for ya .

Where can I Find a toro nero piston and sleeve???

shanty140 04-10-2010 07:23 AM

Hey Huston,

I am looking to buy a new engine and the Plus 4C is one of the engines I am looking at, but I got a couple questions that I hope you or someone can answer for me.

- I believe I read somewhere that there is a 2010 tuned version coming out or already is out. I can only seem to find the 2009 in stores so I assume it is not out yet. But anyways, do you know the differences between the 2009 and 2010 Plus 4C?

- What would your recommendations be for glow plug, pipe and header running in a truggy. The area I race is highier alltitude, and temps between 20*C - 27*C (about 75*F - 80*F).

- Would the Plus 4C be the engine best suited for what I am looking for or would you recommend another engine? What I am looking for is a engine with a very smooth powerband and fuel milage easily entering the 10+ minute range. I already have a Ninja JX.21 that I was planning on running on high grip/long straightaway type tracks, and the Plus 4C on lower grip style tracks.

Any help would be much appreciated. Huston you offer these motors for sale right? If so I will most likely be buying from you, if and when the days comes I decide to buy a Novarossi. LOL I have never ran a Novarossi, but would love to see what all the hype is about!

Relax mr.!! P/s/r is ordered , let me know how you like that engine , do not disassemble before you break it in . !

New to Offroad

Hi Houston, great thread you have going here. I have been reading threw from the start but figured I would just post my question up to maybe get my answer sooner then later LOL. I am looking to make the move from onroad to offroad, I currently race with the Mugen MTX4R with the 2009 Novarossi 353 powerplant. I was lucky enough to win the championship at my local track with this combination and have no interest in running anything else no matter what I am racing. That said I am looking to get into the 1/8 racing scene with either the Mugen MBX6 or the MBX6T as I am unsure which to go with at this point, what I am looking to go with for the powerplant is the Novarossi Toro Nero Team Edition engine. What I would like to know is if I am going in the correct direction with my engine choice, or if there is something better suited to what I am after. I will be racing here in Montreal, Canada at 1 of two local tracks out this way:http://fastlapracing.com/ and http://www.rcoffroaddrummond.com/liens.htm

Here are a few video's from these tracks to give you an idea what the racing surface is like at these tracks:
Drummondville: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mqx4FIWgqE

Sanair:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmTp93dGQKI

The Sanair track is most likely going to be the track I race at most of the time as it is a bit closer to me. Thanks for any help you can give to make this adjustment as painless as possible LOL.

Sean
