What's the optimal temp for a RB S3?

Do they run around the same temps (230) as other engines?

I run a C6BB7T with the 2045 pipe and 192 header. Byrons Gen2 30% with a med plug and my RC8T is totally off the hook. With my temps at 190-210.

Awesome thanks.

I know I have to tune for power, but I like to have a rough estimate of what the engine temp will be.

crawldad91, Akhor,
My experiance with all of my RB engine is that use the RB pipe that they suggest for your engine. Basiclly almost all RB engine will want either a 2020 or the 2045 pipe. The JP-1,2,3,4 pipes made the engine run hot. I had a WS7III that would run 260 to make any kind of power, but was concerned with the temp. I went to the 2045 with a 198 header. Engine had all the same power ans got better fuel milage and would run at 190-215. My C6 was the same way. The 2045 is the best combo with any RB engine in my opinion.

Default mixture screw o-rings (c6bbt)

can anyone help with installation of new o-rings on the high speed needle? the needle just won't go back in with the new o-rings without destroying them.

You're not trying to put them in dry are you? I would think that might tear them. You want them to fit nice and tight so a little lube would probably be necessary to put them in. Turn the needle very slow too and maybe "help" the o-ring in a little with your extra hand by pushing them into the hole? Don't really know what to use to lube them but probably a little spit couldn't hurt them

I was afraid to say that one becuase I thought I recalled reading somewhere that injecting after run oil into the carb by the fuel line would cause the o-ring life to be shorter.

You should always inject after run oil down the air intake or glow plug hole

I guess a little oil one time couldn't hurt much though.

Will the carburetor pinch bolt from the "S" series fit on the S3. The S3 pinch bolt does the job. I am just looking at a different option. Thanks!
