Yep, what Don said. The Cross10 and all the odds and ends that they released at Nuremberg arrived late last week at RB USA so the shops should be getting them somewhat soon. The B10's were not in the shipment that arrived in the US last week as they just got them in France last week but those should start arriving at RB USA the end of this week or the start of next.

Its crazy but I am almost positive the K9 will make more HP then the B9 ....at least stock vs stock...the K9 has some really aggressive timing

I have heard several people say that they think their K9 makes more bottom end power than their B9. I personally don't run them because I have never ran an engine from Taiwan that lasted like a Nova based engine. Not to mention the carbs generally suck, the back plates tend to leak if not sealed. The bearings are cheap low quality bearings compared to Nova bearings as well.

For me it's about reliability and knowing that my engine is going to run strong and consistent thru an entire race weekend without chasing a tune or an air leak. Not saying that the K9 is bad, just saying that I personally have never had an enjoyable experience with an engine that came out of Taiwan. I could be wrong but I doubt your gona find a engine from Taiwan that has 12-15 gallons on it with no more than a rod replacement. Maybe I am missing out on something special because I don't want to take the chance but I just like to stick with what I know works week in and week out.

Actually if anything the K9 will do better on the top end stock vs stock... The B9 modified is a whole different animal tho...

I agree a Taiwanese won't last like an Italian, but I would hope people would realize that is reflected in the price of the engines... However I will say so far the K9 and its clone the JL are the nicest built of the Taiwanese engines I have worked with so far...They use a decent billet piston, have good heat treatment on the cranks and the carbs seem so far to tune quite good, the bearings are however not overly nice IMO..... No its not a Nova based RB, but it is a strong performer in its price range and IMO the best of the Taiwanese engines...

what conrod works in the rb c6 other then that motor(ws7 k9 etc) and other companies(os werks nova go etc) ?

1122-C is the only con-rod I would use in the engine. The crank pin on a lot of engines are slightly different in size. The RB's are 5.02 when new and the rod is designed for that size crank pin. The K9 uses a totally different rod as it is not a Nova manufactured engine.

Taiwanese is why..... The crankshaft is only 53, the main bearing is only 15.50. The engine was designed to be a powerful engine at a great price and from the sounds of things it is both. Of course it's not going to last like a RB made by Nova but thats part of why it's cheaper.

I just got a Crono RS7 new in the bag on ebay for 56.00 bucks. What about these engines? I know they are good. I also have a rb modded crono RS5 too and a C6 and Killer 9

No idea about the Crono engine. I do think they were/are Novarossi manufactured engines but that does not always mean parts are interchangeable.

this is my first RB engine, with the 2045 pipe. what's need to be attention, teach me something please. I has buyed the ball bearings*2, conrod*2 , Wrist Pin and Clips *2 too, +10 rb plugs.




by the way, K9 from Taiwan FC-the factory has biggest market by rtr engine. haha

Make sure you take your time breaking it in!! Don't try to get too much power out of it for the first gallon of fuel. Also try to make sure you heat the engine up every time you start it for as long as possible. If you pre heat the engine to around 200 degrees all the time you shouldn't need to change the rod till 4-5 gallons. When you do change the rod get a new wrist pin and clips. As long as no dirt gets in the engine the bearings should be fine for just as long or longer. If you have any other questions just come post in here.

i have a S9 is it nova based?

I have been running a k9 for over 4 gallons and the engine still has pinch.The carbs tune great and the bearings are made in japan.I run an re10 on mine and have excellent power and get over 9 min running below 220.I have tried the rb 2045 and didn't like it that well it smoothed out the power band but ran hotter.for anyone looking fo a cheaper engine with high dollar performance then the k9 is it.
