Last I heard he did. That is the RB engines thread. Don't let it's presence in the onroad forum fool you. I guess the people that made this board think that only onroad guys use nitro motors. Hell, people even talk about the TMax motors in that thread.

I love those engines! I've got two WS7-III and both are super reliable, great power band and easy to tune. Still undecided which motors to buy for next season - whether another WS7 (L2G Turbo Version) or a C6...
Orange rocks!

SHIMS

How many head shims are on the head in stock form? and do you run more shims to run 30% like the book says? I have been running 20% because it says not to use over 25% wiht out 1mm of shims?

If your asking about Ace, yes they are back in business but JR is no longer the owner & they have moved. I have not talked to Kevin in a while but I know he is freinds with Ace's new owner but not sure if he is involved.

Man that sucks Kevin was good as gold. the Ace websight looks identical to the old one. i will most likely do business with them.

Does anyone run a RB S3 in their truggy? Impressions?

tony montana 11-05-2008 04:02 PM

Im sure it would be ok, but probaly under powered, I wouldnt go with anything less than a s7 in truggy, but if I was gonna buy a truggy engine it would be the c6 l2g

novacrzy 11-05-2008 04:15 PM

a s5 would be plenty of power a s3 would be a little week i think

I have the RB S3, its my first nitro engine. I really like this engine its great ;). Been using it for about a couple months now. The track I use it at is an indoor track which is small and technical which makes the S3 perfect for this track.

I’m saving up now for next year, summer racing season, for a new engine which will be used for outdoors here in the NW of Washington. I have my eye on either the S7 or the WS7T.

So if I plan on running a 7mm insert, do I put it in immediately and break it in with the insert or wait until later?

r1harper 11-05-2008 05:31 PM

it does not matter about that, i always run the 7mm anyway well that or the 6

Cool. I'll just use it from the beginning then to eliminate any tuning confusion later by adding it. Thanks :D

Bone stock it is for medium to big tracks but grind on that crank and raise the exhaust port significantly and hold the fxxk on.:D
