RB Concept Engine Thread..

I have tried the Shark9 in truggy and it just didn't have enough grunt for my liking, but I run at 6,000 feet elevation so I am losing 15-20% of the engines overall power right off the bat. It felt better in truck when the Shark9 had a ceramic bearing but I still I felt I could use a bit more power. It's very possible it will have plenty of power at sea level!!

I wasnt to much a fan of the shark in the truggy. lacked bottom end. on a big open track it was great. it reved harder than the b10
Chris will the 2087 pipe give me any advantage over the 2045 pipe on a C6USA?

Change out your green springs to the silver springs, green is too light for the dynamite shoes, they are really hard shoes, with the gold and silver combo, you should have better snap, than with green and gold.

From what Chris had posted in an earleir post, the 2087 is smoother with better fuel mileage, than the 2045. If you have a B10, those are pretty much the same as the C6, if you want more bottom, RB has the 204 header that will give you more bottom.

The 2087 is a smoother transition from mid to high but I feel it does make more torque down low than the 2045 makes. I have been running the 2087 on what is basically a C6USA as it's a B10 with a C6USA crank and button. I have been running it in my truggy and it seems to run great and even with a steel flywheel it has plenty of grunt. In the truck I can notice the loss in top speed when compared to the 2045, but it's not too bad.

I too run a Losi truck.... I have tried the 48 and also have a 49 tooth I have tried. With my altitude I really notice the loss in power on the bottom end so I normally end up back with the 50. Plus we are not lucky enough to have a track as big as the nitro pit so it works for me almost everywhere. Next I want to try running this new 2087 pipe with the 204mm header and the 48 tooth spur.

The X11 is closer to your WS9. The K10 is more of a sport engine and is not made by Novarossi like the X11 and your WS9.
